I'm sure this has been covered numerous times, i was just wondering who are the best insurers for our cars,

 

Lynbrooks wouldn't quote

Heritage said no

Aviva quoted £1300

 

i'm 49 1 claim (not my fault) 1 speeding (sp30)

2 years ncd, driveway, 6000 miles Fully comp

 

All applications were for unmodified car, once quote is given i would then add the mods just to see the difference.

 

However i went to confused.com and got this result, all were £700+ except the top one at £328. Insurance company is Performance Direct. so theres one to add to the list of decent quotes.

 

Just to add, i was with the AA , usual quote was £300-£400 latest quote was £1008, i had the same price increase with the shogun.

I'm with Houghton Insurance, they seem to be quite reasonable £460 on a limited mileage policy 7000 year.

Im with elephant was with admiral and im 29 2 years ncd no claims no points and mine is under 500 fully comp and that isnt on classic insurance. try the autotrader insurance search as well. Also play around with things like proposed mileage it brings it down some more.

Trade (but not currently trading) insurance , or home fleet insurance can be great to cover imports, or high value(must be agreed) especially with the mrs on it too.

I`m with performance direct, they`re a broker of sorts, you`ll probably find it`ll be a classic policy.

adrian flux and a plan (the specialist import branch) i have been battling the two out since owning my z. the renewals are the worst bit so i sawp between them every year!

Why did Heratige say no???? I`m with them and have no problems with both my cars insured with them and very reasonable too

Swinton £179 but that was with me going to go down to the office for 2 hours.

I was with tradex, i'm now with stavely head.Its not unique to them by any means.. loads out there to compare with

Daz mate, no idea, just filled out the form and at the end it said it wouldn't quote,

 

as some one said on another post, you could get 5 zed owners ask for a quote and they'll all be different.

 

One thing i did notice, putting on the mods (Exhaust/lowered/air filter/alloys with wide tyres) cranks it up by some £600 plus, dare not add the extra bhp from boost jets... :ohmy:

??? there's such a lot of cars modified on here, wastegates, BOF, Boost controller, lowered, others to numerous to mention.. so who do you go to and how much do you get charged..

Mate i spend a full day calling, when i have a good quote i then tell the other insurance companies the price to see if they will beat it. You will save loads.

I am with Adrian Flux who were the only ones i could find to give me a agreed value policy on a modified car..

Not that cheap but hopefully if anything was to happen i wouldnt be payed rubbish money.

I was with Admiral who are very cheap with a multicar policy but obviously if something happens they will pay the basic book value.

adrian flux, 24, stockport, driveway, fully comp, 5 years ncb, had a licence for 6 years with a ban in the first year for dangerous driving, + sp30 :/ - £715

I'm with Adrian Flux via their "Cherished Vehicles" dept. All mods fully declared, under £350.00 and don't forget, they offer further discount to club members.
