A very common zed body work issue is the alignment of the front wing where it meets the door and more so lower down at the sill.

Check out the pictures below the first showing how bad it can look, the problem is caused by damage to the lower part of the wing where it is fixed to the sill.

The damage can be cause in accidents but in the main is due to badly placed trolley jacks, tyre bays been the worst culprits.

The good news the fix is relatively easy, in the case shown a simple redressing of the wing fixing is all that was required, a flat bolster chisel is ideal and as the lower wing / sill start to move back in place it is easy to judge how far to go.

Take a look at the last two pictures, they show the how much improved the wing gap looks after just a minutes of tapping and aligning, remember of course to clean and re-coat the sill edge if any underseal is damaged, of course some damage can be worse than this and takes a bit more work but definitely worth it.
