I have done a search on here but found nothing conclusive.

When I pull off there is a sort of grinding/vibration noise, once moving it's fine. Then sometimes when I accelerate in third from a slow speed the noise is there to. Any ideas?

il had this since i bought the car, low revs it will shake your arms off, like a bag of nails, its not goten any worse so im used to it, i think some of it is due to solid hard bushings mounts everywhere.

is it gearbox itself or external component

if gearbox does it do it while trying to engage gear slowly?

If I put the car into gear there is no noise, as soon as I pull off it starts and then stops once moving a few mph's. Then sometimes in 3rd and 4th just after changing when accelerating.

ok not what im thinking off.

There is something similar on my zed ... it chatters soon after its just started at cold, a quiet crunchy/grinding noise ... disappears under the slightest application of the throttle (even if the application of throttle produces less RPM than the IACV is allowing as choke) ... completely disappears when its warmed up, other then the precise moment after braking, the car ceases its forward inertia, a little crunch noise is audible. Baffling! Sounds pricey though hehe. It shall have to remain a mystery until I have some free time to take it to Tamworth :)

sounds to be doing same as mine anthony... always seems to be up until the same rev range in all gears. No idea what it could be, I kinda put it down to an internal gearbox fault and have put up with it but would love to know what it really is lol.

sounds like the springs on the friction plate

Or can be a well sagged centre bearing with the prop giving a good waggle before stabilising naturally at speed. With a bit of heat in even a sagged cracked centre bearing it stabilises it and cuts vibs.

Fits with vibs on gear changes or low speed torque application

Do you mean the clutch plate? If so that was new.

Is this the bearing that bolts to the underside of the car aroughly above where the cats are?
