As i have fitted a 99 spec bumper i have got rid of the fogs and the side lights were in the indicators so need to fit some side lights of some kind.

Any ideas?

Seen these on ebay

i know there a bit chav but if i mount them out of the way so they just proved light?

Do side lights have to produce a certain amount of light?

You not fancy doing what i have done mate and just mounting them in the corner units with the indicators??

Only takes 10 mins to drill a hole and file it to fit a bulb holder, then fit chrome indicator bulbs so the sidelights don't reflect off the amber - mine actually do but i quite like the look of it.

Or are you wanting to do aftermarket all together?

You useing them in the headlights??

Yes, think it will look better than trying to squeeze one into my 99 spec indicators:x:

Hi Mike, I have fitted 2 sets of the led running lights into the old fog holes, and matched the side lights and HIDS, looks quite smart! imo

Not the best pic tbh but you get the idea. Once the chrome covered indicator bulbs are fitted there won't be any amber :)

Glad you like em mate :D

I did'nt get any pics of how i fitted them but its very simple mate. Just drill a pilot hole in the back and then gradually work up in bit sizes. Once you've got to the biggest one you have file the rest with a rat tail file or similar. When the hole is big enough get a small file and file the slots needed so the bulb holder can push all the way in and then twist in to secure. Jobs a good un

As for what i fitted i assume you mean what bulb holders, i just got the ones out of my fog lights and used those. Perfek :D

When you look at it, there is only really one place big enough to do it, but feel free to post a pic and i'll show you where i put mine :)

I hope this clarifies the lighting question

4. A front position lamp or rear position lamp

a. incomplete, not in good working order or not clean, i.e. damaged or deteriorated, or not visible from a reasonable distance

these are reason for rejection for an mot test

hope this helps and after seeing this thread im tempted totry this myself!
