get a fiat air horn same as the lambos.

have a look in your local scrap yard thats how I found mine

Cheapest and BEST way to get a decent sounding 'quality' horn is to simply find and old Vauxhall (vectra, late Cavalier, Omega etc) and take the Bosch dual tone horns from this and fit them. Gives the car a classier and beefier sounding horn without sounding ridiculous.

The chances are that your Low Tone horn has packed up, and only the High Tone is sounding. A pair of simple dual horn replacements from any decent motor factors will surfice. I picked mine up from Halfords for about £18 (IIRC)

Just watch out for the connections, the zed one has a positive connection onto it and earths out through it's own body, if you buy a new pair they may have two connections, in which case you'll have to run a separate wire for the earth (probably to the bolt point)

HTH

Dave

Dave, they sounds pants when they are both working! Same horn as fitted to the Datsun Cherry!

Well I couldn't tell you, as mine was only working on the High Tone as well, and it did sound really shite!!

But these replacements from Halfords do sound good for what they are!

nici , just scream out of the window, that will freak anyone out

Used my horn (in anger today for the first time:smash:) and must agree what a $h^t sound they make.

If Funkysi is right I can quite believe they come from Datsun Cherry! another item to go on the list.

seeing as my original packed up and i never liked the sound of it anyway, i spent £6.95 at the local car shop and bought the above mentioned 'ring' horns.

:hyper:

i think i have done quite well with the fit, nice and tidy and a great location.

the sound suits the car very well and i am very pleased.

:headvswal

dont know the decibels of them but i will guess at 120db.

:nana2:

did look at those musical horns but it is not 'General Lee'!!!!!!!!!!!
