there both based on the koyo rad, possibly not as good quality but i must be honest i have bought a similar one to try ;)

I have the 2nd linked radiator. I also tried the electric fan, and with the rebuild that "jimmer" (god bless you matey) done for me, the electric fan was not up to the job, overheating probs, so, reverted back to viscous, and all is good.

Thanks guys I really wanted to get away from the viscous fan but looks like it might be a keeper. Did you keep the horid plastic cowling as well?

i have removed it before and not had any issues but it does a job so i'm keeping it this time LOL

im running a koyo with a 16" zirgo fan, it actually cools quicker than it heats up!!

had no problems with it at all, never skipped a beat, and now theres no risk of shaving your finger tips off when you reach into the engine :D

it certainly keeps you on your toes, i know that :D

mine came today and i cant complain for the price but the weld are not as neat as i would have liked but you get what you pay for!! i shall be keeping a very close eye on it when i install it until its been tested under load

think it would be hard work on a twin setup as they take up a fair amount of room from the ones i have seen

I take it most of these aftermarket radiators are for big power setups, I couldnt get the temperature to go up on my stock system by more than a couple of degrees with any amount of hard driving, temps read from laptop via conzult cable.

not at all, i would say an uprated rad is one of the best upgrades you can do to a zed no matter what the power ;) bear in mind cooling is the main issue the zed has so anything you can do to help can only be good :)

But from what I can gather the standard radiator does the perfect job of keeping the car at the optimum running temperature, why would you introduce more cooling surely this is taking the car out of the operating temperature?

i agree but the problems are most radiators are 15 years odd old so dont perform to the original specification :)

i am about to upgrade mine, not because something is wrong with it, its just prevention rather than cure :D

First one- fan is way under par. Don't buy.

2nd one looks like a Koyo copy so should function ok. (better still, get a used koyo if funds are tight and if you can find one.

Look up Zirgo fans on ebay.com (USA) and get one that pulls 3950cfm or 3450cfm at a push. I have the 3450cfm one and it seems OK but not as good as Silverbullets one which pulls 3950cfm. I may have to upgrade mine soon.
