Can someone in the know answer these questions:

Are R33 and R34 front Brembos the same specification? I know that the mounting holes need to be drilled for the R34s, but are there any stopping/performance differences?

Is there a difference in braking systems between V-Spec and non V-Spec Skylines?

I've done a couple of searches but couldn't come up with the answers! Any help/pointers appreciated.

no their both the same, as you said the only difference is the R34 holes are 14mm rather than 12 of the zeds brakes or the R33 brembos :)

Cool - thanks Mike. So I guess the main argument for R34s is that they should be newer and therefore in better condition (plus the colour)

One more question - do I need to ensure that I get hold of the mounting bolts? Are they easy to source separately otherwise?

Right, I've picked up a good set of R33 Calipers, Ferrodo pads, almost new disks and mounting bolts. I've got braided lines already on the car to the stock calipers. Should the new calipers be "plug and play" to the existing lines?

Sorry to sound like a noob - I've removed the calipers and disks before but never had to unplug 'em ;)

Yes, as Mike said I got these from GTR owners club - had been looking for ages, it's a real case of right place, right time.. I was lucky that the seller was local to me and was willing to negotiate on the price ;)
