This is one of a few options I was thinking about for the ZED engine, I am also speaking to Jimmer and have had a PM from Jaffa regarding a half finnished engine.

Anyhows to beef things up a bit and keep the block stock do you think this hits all the marks or have I missed anything?.

This is the car spec from the for sale stuff Chris posted as it is, will I need the Sidemount intercoolers in the 700 HP TTZ pack and also the downpipes in there as well? Or maybe I can take them out and save some money?

Full stainless steel down pipes and cat back exhaust (Japspeed)

Large side mount intercoolers

Dual air intake and filters, almost new.

Devin chip (388rhp / 366 torque)

Samco intake pipes

Short shift gear stick

Relocated washer bottle and expansion bottle (from behind the I/C's)better airflow through I/C's

Blitz boost controller

Omex sequential shift light

Braided stainless steel fuel pipes

Front and rear strut braces

Front and rear adjustable upper suspension link arms

Rose jointed front adjustable tension arms

Evo 8 Brembo front callipers with 350z disc (almost new)

Braided front break hoses

KYB Adjustable shocks with uprated springs

Are you sure you want nos? I would stay clear personally.

You mentioned a chip above, i would be keen on going stand alone management on a big spec.

If your wanting the power you indicated earlier in the week, then forget that farty ass clutch your looking at.

Only a really decent twinplate likes of RPS carbon carbon or HKS would take the serious power.

If i was spending that kinda wonga, i'd have a longblock imported from one of the best engine builders in the US, Kyle pucket

CP Pistons with full ceramic/moly coatings

Pauter or Carillo Rods

ARP Rod Studs

ARP Main Studs

Block Inspected and acid dipped

Block redecked

Block water passage bored out for more water to back cylinders

Block Bored and Honed using a Torque Plate

Crank center weight tig welded into place

Crank balanced

New Moly Coated Race Spec Main bearings installed

New Moly Coated Race Spec Rod bearings installed

Block prepped and assembled

ARP Head Studs

Tomei Cams(Your Choice)

Tomei HD Valve Springs

Tomei Solid Lifters

Titanium Retainers

Ferrea 1mm Oversized Valves

Heads inspected and cleaned

Heads Pressure Tested

Heads redecked

Ported exhaust and intake runners

5 angle radius cut valve job

Combustion Chamber work

Valve heights set

New OEM Valve stem seals

Heads prepped and assembled

New OEM Cam Seals

New Cometic Metal Head Gaskets

New OEM Oil Pump

New OEM Oil Pump Gasket

Engine will come with Heads bolted to block and torqued to spec

This Stage 6 Nissan VG30 Long Block engine package is for a Nissan 300zx that wants serious power and the strongest engine available. This package will be good for up to 1200Rwhp and 8000 Rpm Rev Limit. This is not for the faint at heart!! The Stage 6 VG30 Long block comes with a full one year warranty against defects and comes with our 10+ years experience on building Nissan motors.

$9.500, plus core charge, yes dollars!!

Looks like this might be a really good option... I have mailed them to ask about delivery costs etc.

Assuming I buy this what other parts would you reccomend? plz keep it sensible though!

How about an LS, normally aspirated 7.8litre all alloy V8 with 725bhp for £12K

Oh and by the way very low tech with a carb no ecu's or anything more complex than electronic ignition and coil packs.

And an exhaust note to die for.......

You didn't email z1 did you?

Next you would need 300degree fuel rail kit and 740/850cc injectors.

Decent set of turbos and divorced waste gate pipes and Mike smith manifolds, something to run it all like AEM or similar, then jobs a goodun :)

Good lad you ;)

There's some big advantages doing like this, who can you trust to do a big build over here and gaurantee it, well now no worries this guy is one of the best in the business. Biggest expenses are the labour and amounts unknown for machine work and stripping down and re assembly etc, now no bother it's all taken care in one swoop.

Usually time wise for a build like this to be done can be weeks in some cases, once the new engine has arrived your looking at just a couple of days or so.

Fitting the plenums, injectors, turbo's/manifolds and the usual ancilleries is a straigt forward job, not exepnsive and not time consuming either so your options as who to use are bigger, though personally i'd use either Jimmer or Zedworld.

Use a chip to run the engine in, then find yourself a decent mapper afterwards to set her up and hopefully attain your goal.

Good luck anyways!

cheers

Looks like this will be the way I go... has anyone imported piles of bits from the US and what were the import and shipping charges like. How long did they take to arrive as well?.

This company are shit hot to deal with, if you PM Kirbz he imported the very same engine from this company, so he can give you lots of info.

cheers
