thermostat, where?

my mate has just asked to look at his focus, thermostat,

 

beleive they are on the back of the engine on them?

 

 

anyway lead me to think where is it on the Z??

 

 

im asuming its by the pipe where the temp sensor goes? or isit on the back of engine?

 

 

just out of curiosity really, nothing wrong with mine (at the mo lol)

    two ali pipes at the front of the engine the bottom one is where the thermostat hides
