Happened to be stuck in traffic the other day and at one point was crawling up a hill when I noticed that the car was in 5th and pulling quite smoothly at 1000rpm!

 

I found that quite surprising and was very impressed with the flexibility.

 

It's a NA by the way.

100% agree - labouring an engine is a ruddy awful thing to do! Bloody bugs me when people do that for the sake of fuel economy or whatever they reckon :rant:

Working out the diff ratios and gearbox ratios i found out my V8 will be doing 90mph at 1550RPM :rofl:

 

...and it'll still be doing 16mpg :D lol

My mates always questioned why I had such a big engine at a young age, I was in 3 litres when they were driving 1.4s lol.

 

The power is so effortless, I love em :D
