Hello again guys!

Thoughts on the below?

Partial service history inc Cambelt change at 112k.

Clicky

With Z's is it pretty much always a case of going to have a look at the general condition? This guy lives in West Sussex which is over 3 hours from me!

Cheers

Haha, nuff said.

On a more sensible note I HAVE to get a UK spec for insurance reasons. J specs are *literally* double to insure, for me. Are they more likely to rust?

Dont dismiss this zed mate, go and have a look if you like it, it may be a pearl? knock him down and make it your own!!

Daz

JDMs won't be double to insure. You just need to hunt around a bit. I couldn't get my insurance any cheaper than I am paying now even if I had a UK car.

The red one looks ok. Hateful revolting rear lights though.

Yup, but not in every case.

Some are still rot free, beware any bubbling on arches, or the back of sills where it meets arch.

A little bubble often hides huge rot inside.Look under floor, + inner arches.

That said, ive seen + had a few unrotten uk zeds.Walked away from a few hounds too...

Ok Im exaggerating slightly. A quote from Admiral (who quote me happiest on EVERY car not just 300s) for a JDM N/A was £1200 and for a UK TT was 750ish. Its a big difference, im sure you'll agree.

If there was no difference id probably have snapped up the Yellow NA in Norfolk I posted a week or so ago!

Hate the lights too. Unnecessary mod!

Shop around. Give Adrian Flux a call, give Broadsure direct a call, give Lyndbrooke Insurance a call. Some companies just don't like grey imports, some really don't care. You need to shop around regardless of what they might have quoted for you in the past. In most cases, yes a JDM can be more expensive to insure, but sometimes, only by a small margin.

I pay £280 fully comp on my JDM

hmm uk spec... ruuuuuust!

there will be some peeps from the west sussex area willing to go and have a butchers im sure... save you wasting your time if it is a dog...

Mr P as we both know and do not want to get into this arguement, not all uk cars are rusty!!

As Si said have a good scout around on the phone and net for insurance, I was surprised at how much some where quoting but managed to get a J spec insured for a fair price in the end, and on the rust not all UK specs are full of rust it's just that they've been here allot longer lol, so some have faired worse than others just don’t rush in with the first one and have a GOOD look around it

Chris

I had the same problem before with imports being loads more to insure than a UK... but there are some great insurers that should give you a decent quote - or consider getting classic insurance on it.

Oh and it'll be great to see another one in Lincoln! ;)
