only one is smokey :) the left hand bank the has the pre cat... tilll the turbo is changed then its coming out :)

so wonding if the pre cat will keep it at bay for now??

or just wait till the turbos are done and get the de cat done then??

i jsut want my new zorst to sound good :)

It may sound better if you call it an exhaust! LOL

Might be ok. But you can never tell until you do the deed. Loud exhausts on auto cars don't sound too great though. Unless you're planning on doing a manual conversion....

sorry.. my exhuast :)

yeah i will be doing a manual conversion in the future.. early next year

the veilside titanium ezhaust i had on my supra auto sounded great.. that had no cats on it...

back to the first Q .. how do you punch the cats out ?? is it easy???

cheers

okay.... cheers will eb doing it at work tomorrow

if smoke is to bad i will just have to wait till iget me work done on it to take it for a good drive

if all else fails i do have a proffesional welder at work who will make a new pipe up for me :)

decats are only £50,

as above, if your turbo/turbos are smoking, decatting will just make it pore out with smoke, looking shit,

then forcing you to get new turbos

did it on my old car 200sx.

(have decated 2 other cars and been fine tho)

yeah like i say... getting them changed it 2 weeks so if it make them bad ill just sit it.. but saves me money not havin to pay the garage to do that job as well...

then il take it up for them to do the turbos :)

exhasuts are going to have to come off to do the turbos,

i know but for now as paying out to do the turbo's i am just gonna decat my pipes for now... and i if i do it i don't hav to pay somene else to punch them out :)

and yeah i think you are right dave at 75 pound..

I sure am, mine are sat in my lounge in a huge box waiting to go on :D

Normal price is around the £130 mark, so mine really were a bargain ;)

I would opt for some decat pipes if I was you. Gutting the stock cats is effective but not as effective as proper replacement decat pipes. When you gut the cats you are left with a larger expansion place which slows down the air passing through it before it pushed it back out the other end.

i see what you mean.....

well i can save spending out i will so will most likey at work today cut out the cat and weld in a new pipe the same size :)

(i am engineer in a workshop) so one of the welders will weld it up for me free of charge

just thinking saves me 100 quid i not gotta spend out one

leaves more for other things :):duffer:

£50 second hand,

£130 for new shiney ones.

i just went for second hand ones, then the money you get for weighing the cats in the scrappys (£60 for 2) more or less payes for it :)

Good point about selling the Cats, forgot about that. Prices not as good as they were, it was 60 each, but still 60 for the pair is good.
