I bought an HID kit for my blue Zed......

......I chose a 4300k set-up; I wanted function over appearance. The 4300k is more pure white than the blue of a 6000k kit.

Now the OEM lights were not too bad but oh boy are the HIDs bright in comparison:bow:

I took a couple of phone pics - now bring on the dark nights (not that I use the Z that much at night; but at least I can now)

Oh yes, and that thin metal strip inside the lower part of the front bumper - well I removed the surface rust you can see in the pics and coated it in black Hammerite;)

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Very Nice and dazzling!!! How much should we be paying for a set of HID`S?

Thanks Daz.

Cheers guys!!

It's one of the best upgrades for a ZX; definitely!

I did it to my old ZX and it really made a difference; my daily drive has HIDs as an OEM fitment - there's no substitute....

Plus, just in case I ever need them, I fitted Osram Nightbreaker H1 bulbs to the main beam;)

Great work Richard - looking better with every post. Did you get the aircon sorted in the end?

To Add to Isaac's post, Danny also supplys the needed wires for the uk spec 300's with the dipped headlights. He includes the extra cables, thats one of the reasons i got mine from him!

Hi Phil,

Thanks for the comments!

The A/C is now working perferctly thanks to Zed World. One 2nd hand condenser fitted by Jeff; plus a re-gas with the R12 substitute and all's well!

If you need your's re-gassing give Jeff a call. Rather than retro-fit an R134 conversion, Jeff gets it re-filed with the substitute for the old gas at £80 plus VAT.

Did you need it? Mine's a 1994 UK spec and it didn't have the "dim dip" (unlike my old ZX). I unplugged the small adapter connecting the loom to the light and pluged the spade connectors for the ballast pack into that. I then cut the H3 bulb cables from the rubber cap, fed the HID bulb wires through that and re-sealed with some silicone to make water-tight......

damn! i really should get some!

Definitely mate;)
