Anyone know of any agents who will source & import a used Nissan from the States? looking for a 240z convertible to add to my 300zxtt import (Z32) & 200sx (S13).

Datsun never built a convertible 240Z. Any you see will be custom made as I don't believe even any of the styling houses built them, like Stramann etc. I've never even seen one at any of the shows I've been to over there nor any photos of other shows. I have seen the odd pic lurking on the net. You will struggle IMO

Sorry bud, but Si is 100% correct, Nissan (Datsun) NEVER produced a vert 240Z (or 260Z, 280Z, 280ZX or even the 300ZX(Z31)) They have to be aftermarket done.

No such thing as an original Datsun 240z Convertible. The Z32 300zx was the first convertible version.

 

..and whoever converts one should be shot !!

Yes, gary, that's one. Look much better with roof down. Already have a Zed & s13 - this would be in addition.

Oh yes they did

They actually built 2 targa top 240Zs, a actual convertible 240Z and a 240Z2+2 all back in 1968ish but they never put them into production

Mr Matsuo has even been quoted that there was a possibility of a 240Z estate

Thanks funkyboogaloo, but am after the soft-top 240sx (possibly only available from U.S.A.? A lot cheaper too!
