Clumsy eejit part II

Well after the new Z decided to damage my ribcage last week I've (kind of) got my own back - although it's still going to cost me money.....:o

I thought I'd have a go at removing the orange lenses inside the indicators this afternoon; for that clear look.

I couldn't be asked to use a soldering iron, drill or hot screwdriver; I thought I'd just try and break it using a hammer and flat screwdriver. That orange dome is tougher than it looks - the first whack did nothing so I tried a bit harder.

The dome came away and went straight through the front of the lens; smashing a great big hole in it:slap:

Anyone got a UK spec R/H indicator in very very good condition.........:headvswal

Richard:(

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

lol.

can you use the clear front fog lights and put the in instead of the indicators with the orange bit in them. I wold also like to go for the clear look after si done some photo shop work on my car.

Seen clear front fogs available so just wondering if i can use them? saves hassle of possibly breaking the ones i have on getting the orange bit out.ahah.

classic post tho, would have been funny.lol

The jap spec front fog lights are completely different fitment to the uk indicator/side light units - I'm guessing you'd have to change the front bumper reinforcement that houses them to a JDM one.

Whilst they are different, you can buy the complete fog light as opposed to just the lense. Then the back part of the UK spec indicator unbolts (3 10mm retaining nuts reached by removing the corner light unit); you remove that and bolt in the complete fog light;)

See I got that bit right:o
