i was gonna get them before, but my clutch went so did that instead

do look good in the pics, and price is good

I was going to order some this week or next. sounds good and is well under hafl the price of leather :)

I got a set of something similar for my late MR2, they were slip over covers, but the one thing i learned from that was fitting is everything, you've got to know how to fit covers with hog rings etc, its all very well splashing out £275 only to have the covers looking all sloppy.

But saying that, these are replacements not slip ons so the cut of the cover should be good. Just remember, this is not leather.

Regards

Do they feel like leather? Is there a reason why you haven't fitted them mate?

selling them?lol

I got the trim kit, not the seat kit, and is great value for the money. Looks good, feels good, fits good. See my ride section for pics.

tbh they do feel a little tacky, but youre not exactly paying big bucks for them! theyre made from a material called Vytex. ive literally not got round to fitting them - cant wait to get them done though and will definately be an improvement over stock in my opinion. sorry Craig not for sale :D :D the photos dont really do them justice as im sure theyll look far better when theyre installed and stretched to fit. i want to get my interior done in one go as i also have some similar material to replace all the twead panels etc.

It might be better now than the old days?? If it is the best they make then they might not be so bad. But let be honest you still swet with leather ;)

What do they feel like Dave????

ooh they rub against my skin with rough familiarity :wack:

err, soft leather. cant be bothered to look at the item again - is it in the white only or is the seller offering to tailor-make them to your spec?

  • Author

He's doing them to your spec. I think I'll be ordering them in charcoal with the Z logo in silver.

I ilke the "NOT PVC" bit in the add...it´s not PVC it´s leatherette:

"Leatherette is a form of artificial leather, usually made by covering a fabric base with plastic. The fabric can be made of a natural or a synthetic fibre which is then covered with a soft PVC layer."

Have to agree with Si there it´s like going backwards

yea technically crap material,

but were going on looks id say with this product.

as long as it fits good, (not baggy)

and they look good quality/well made, thats what the objective is.

leeather is very expensive! these certainly look 1000 times better than tweed

lol, if it looks good then go for it! i dont give a sh*t whether its genuine leather or not, its to my spec and it looks a thousand times better than the stock (fooked) leather and tweed!

Something else that has been bugging me, is when you're modifying/doing up the interior/exterior/engine bay etc, is, how for do you go..? and to what level of quality.?

Thinking about the inside and in particular the seat trims, yeah, leather is nice, smells good, looks good, however is it suitable if you are using the car every day...?

I read the mag article on Steves 300zx , you know the green one up for sale for £8.5K, and the interior is to die for, cream leather retrim £2000 , more than i paid for my ZX!!, but its not a daily drive and he says it spends most of its life in the garage.

Therefore for me, i would get this company's re-trim kit. If i put leather in, i would panic every time i got in and would not let anyone else in the passenger seat!

but thats just me.
