um,

think maybe your alternator/battery.

does it only happen when your music/subs are turned up loud?

nope, i read another post on a google site saying that if its a big amp, which mine is 4000 watts, then i need a thick poer cable as it need more power, so i take it cus my power lead is like a string of spaggetti, that when i put my foot down there isnt enough power getting to the amp maybe?? and so amp shuts itself off.

ahh there a bit tricky to set up but thats wot u want bud stores the power the amp needs will have a look 4 u see if theres any where that shows u

hope this helps bud and read the bit at bottom about charging the cap very inportant and if u dont have the resistor u should be able to get one from maplins. so just hope it helps cheapest and easy way see as u already have the bits

cap is easy,

just have posotive from the battery to the + on the cap,

then another seperate wire from the + on the cap to the + on the amp

(so 2 wires on the +)

the - on the cap just goes to the earth of the car then.
