theres loads of volk styles bud so need pics...the tire size is right bud but i kept 40's on the front for the same reasons. btw,wellcome;)

Yeah should be on 40s at the front too. You can get away with 45s but as you say it just doesnt look right lol.

save on the pic they look just like the ones in your pic Znut

ahhh the good old CV pro

The profile is dependent on width. Usually fronts tyres have a higher front profile number than the rears when running a wider rear, as the profile number is actually a percentage figure of the width.

Let us know the full numbers for the front and back (eg. 225/45/17) and can let you know wether correct or not.

Wheel make/model makes no difference.

Exactly what he said.......

........it's important to keep the rolling circumference as close to stock as possible to ensure the speedo works; and that the measurement is the same front to rear to it doesn't affect ABS etc.

So, 2 combinations are:

rear = 245/40/17 and front 225/45/17

or

rear = 255/40/17 and front 235/45/17

The profile is the aspect ratio of the width - ie 40 = 40% of 255; hence with the narrower fronts you must use "45" profiles.

40% of 255 = 102 and 45% of 235 = 105.75; close enough. But using "40" on the front = 235 x 40% = 94; too far away from the 102 of the rears....

Hope that makes sense

Richard:)

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:
