Well, as my sig currently says, I can't seem to make my mind up :D

I've booked Eliza in for an MOT this coming Friday at our local MOT only station.

I wonder how I'll end up going to work later that morning, 'Happy', 'Moderately Happy' or just 'Downright Depressed!' ;)

I really don't want to let her go, but this really is the last chance

Anyway, chin-up :D as I know she'll fail, it just depends how badly ;)

Just had my Zs MOT today and failed.

I was absolutely gutted when I saw the Mot Failure notice.

Luckily, nothing at all major, just need to adjust headlamps, being a Jap import he failed it on no rear foglamps bt didnt notice the switch on the centre console is for the fog lights and thirdly, he failed it on the number plates as theyre not the standard size.

Its not a problem but seing the Failure paperwork pi55ed me off.

Never mind, tomorrow go and order the number plates and take it back to him.

i HATE leaving mines with those brutes down the mot station what do they know!!!!!!!!!!!!! :smash: she passes everytime though!:hyper:

Thanks bud........... I suppose I'd better get off my arse and go and wash it, just to get rid of the cobwebs ;)

which garage is MOTing it for you? or is it a secret? ;)

Perhaps we can all gather as an audience

Well worst comes to the worst buddy I now have an engine hoist so if you need to change that turbo i could bring it over and help you get it done?

Cheers Nick, the turbos will need changing if it is feasible to continue with her, so that's appreciated mate

Or to persuade the MOT tester to make the right decision LOL

Well, she FAILED but that's exactly what I was expecting anyway, it was by how much that was the decision maker!

Nothing I wasn’t expecting really :D

Refusal Notice;

Nearside rear track rod end ball joint

Offside track rod end ball joint

Offside sill excessive corrosion (bloody great hole in it!)

Offside rear seat belt anchorage excessive corrosion

Advisory Notice

Both wipers are split

Heavy oil leak from engine

Dampness on power steering rack

Slight play in steering rack

Front brake pads low

All brake discs corroded slightly

On the whole not too bad really, most of which I already knew about and the rest are fairly minor, so she’ll be back on the road in the near future :D

 :nana2:  :nana2:  :nana2:  :nana2:

Suprised yours has rot in it Dave. Mind you, if it's been stood for a year and has blocked targa drain holes, I guess it's not suprising.

Hope you get it sorted mate. :)

Thanks Si

Well i already have the repair sections sorted and the brakes have been here a long time now so just the track rod ends to source and we can get her MOT'd

And with Nick's kind offer above ( ) we can get the turbos changed over so it shouldn't be too long before she's back hopefully :D

I'm sure blueprint do a track rod end for around £20 for the 300zx.
