hi all my mate has got a baileys dump valve, he said i can have it, it was on his impreza will it work on my Z, also gonna fit it straight away & then fit the other when i get it, would that be ok to do, thanks all, Dom.

Unless they are identical and PERFECTLY balanced (which they won't be) they will open at different pressures so only the weakest one will sound :slap:

Even if they were identical in every way you'd halve the air going through them so they'd be quieter than just one, if they even made any noise at all :rolleyes:

Possibly on a sequential twin turbo straight 6 but a Z has 2 separate turbos on each bank of the V6 :headvswal

You need a dump valve per side - that's why Nissan wasted all that money on 2 recirculating valves instead of 1 :rolleyes:

 

P.S i love them and did the job properly :D

Atmospheric DVs aren't fitted to any factory produced car AFAIK. Recirculating valves only.

 

In the main, they are just willy-waving mods.

I'm afraid the twin valves on a single turbo car was me!!! But it is on the 300 so a V6 not like a normal straight 4 or 6 engine. There are two distinct inlet tracts to the throttle bodies so have one on each and as it's one turbo I want to do as much as possible to reduce compressor stall.
