10-40 semi sythetic

used to use castorol gtx but cant remember what grade it was, think it was 5-50, its the same as mac uses in his

I use Castrol Edge 10W60.

It used to be called Castrol RS 10W60

It was the oil recommended by MAC and I got it from Oilman (our oil trader).

You could use a wonderful application on this forum Allan called 'search'. :wack:

;)

I use a Wix oil filter and Morris comp oil 10W50, I think Wix filters have been discussed here before as they have the anti drain valve.

Where do you get your WIX filters from? I was going to do a change on my car today, but ended up changing the gearbox oil instead. Nissan were closed, so couldn't pick up an oil filter.

I asked Danny whether he could start stocking them.

A motor factor in Ipswich stocks them, if you want one I have a couple in the garage and can send you one.

So what's the advantage of these...

Or should I do a search? :D

Search! lol

Nissan used to do a filter with an anti-drain valve in it, but stop producing these about 6 or 7 years ago and just provide a regular filter instead. WIX manufacture the same filter with an anti-drain valve in.

Would be good if we could source the wix filter through the site , no one round my neck of the woods sell's them from knowledge :(

mobil 1 in mine. engine mega smooth and quiet, also has k&n oil filter with very change.

did you get the K&N filter off e bay mate??

Search! lol

i could understand an anti-drain being fitted if the filter was on a remote maybe!! but the location of it and the fact it sits upright cant be that important..every filter ive ever taken off always gets followed by an arm full of oil from delivery tube so it cant be draining away:confused:
