(I also removed all of the aircon piping in the engine bay)

 

... Do I need to block/blank the two bulkhead connection points to the cabin???

it feels nice removing all the un-neccessary bits like the air con pump, piping and radiater doesnt it :)

would be nice to remove completly tho, my glove box/dash is off at the mo, so il have a look at it tomo

I'm desperately searching for a valve off the front ac piping. Can I have the one off your removed piping?

Kinda...the aircon box is inbetween the heater blower and the heater matrix unit, if you took it out the entire heating system would no longer work as air from the blower would have no way to travel to the rest of the system.

 

What you can do though is open up the aircon box, rip out all its insides and refit the now hollow box in place, and everything would be good. Weighs around 10kg. Its a PITA to remove though.

I still have some of the bits - let me know where it is located and I will take a look.
