got a vibration on the Z when cold, does anyone know where i can get a Prop shaft with new centre bearing or complete new prop?

Featured Replies

A majority of prop vibration is between 30-50mph, worth getting under the zed and inspect the bearing, if its cracked and perished, or brittle, then its time to renew.

Zedworld or DTA can source new ones. Or to do away with the issue again, go down the one peice prop route, check out Z1.

A few have done this on here.

Mine was vibrating, but it turned out to be the upper gearbox mount ( manual) that was the prob not the prop shaft.

well on mine the rear end vibrates (bounces up and down) when getting to high speeds sometimes so bad interior mirror vibrates depends on the road. Already replaced the rear shockers.

sorry to hijack your thread but what advantages does a one piece prop give you??

Ask JimmyTT hes got one........

Prob that it saves the effort of a bearing going.

Yep, as said, less drivetrain weight and transmission losses. You will gain a little extra at the rear wheels but the more noticable change is from response and acceleration improvements.

It will have a similar affect as to fitting lightweight Crank pulley and Lightweight Flywheel. A car fitted with all 3 will rev much quicker with noticeable acceleration improvements.

Mine is like a different animal entirely with all of the above!

You notice much in the way of transmission vibration/rumble?

Only done a few miles in it but no vibration/noise difference from before and after.
