garage have put the TT engine in the NA car.

the TT powersteering pump didnt line up with something on the NA car?

so theyve used the NA pump (but i did tell them the pump was broken :headvswal)

why cant u use the TT power steering pump? or is there a way around it??

really doing my head in now :headvswal

The n/a pump uses a narrower belt, the n/a engine has a different lower pulley so as to be compatible with the narrow belt. The twin turbo pump has additional port for the rear steering ( hicas) so would be pointless on a zed without it

It is possible to swap them around, just needs a little ingenuity.

The only thing the pump has to line up with is the pulley which is already attached to the engine.

The N/A set up will have a hose missing, but that's only needed if your keeping the hicas.

yea i noticed on the resivour the power steering/hicas fluid has 2 take offs,

1 for the power steering

1 for the Hicas.

on the resivour (bit you put the fluid in) i just blanked off the other take off.

so do i need a new NA pump?

or how do i go about making my TT pump line up/work with the NA shell?

Jeff's post above was referring to using the N/A pulley as well, (i hope) but as you've swapped over the entire TT engine and i assume complete with bottom pulley attached etc, then you would still use the TT belt.

It's only the hicas that needs blocking off as your in an N/A shell.

ah rite.

the garage were confused as didnt know there was no HICAS on the NA one.

told them to block the take off at the pump for the HICAS,

is it high pressured? or will be fine to just stick a bolt in to block

I've got pretty much the same question but for z31 facelift model.

Its a 2+2 NA that I have and need to replace the power steering pump, been offered one from a z31 turbo of the same year (1989) but nobody (nissan included) seems to able to confirm if the turbo ps pump will fit...any body know?

on the Z32,

the NA belt didnt quite line up i dont think,

the confusion the garage had, was using the TT pump (which had a take-off for HICAS)

on a car where there was nowhere to link the take-off to

bump this,

if i just block off the outlet on the power steering pump side,

do i need something like a banjo clip or something?

does the pump push out high pressure? fluid??

or will a normal bolt or something do the job?
