My Zed is having a full car blow over with the work being done, which includes correct bumper and bootlid.

 

My question is, has anybody got any good ideas on what colour i should paint it? The car is mettalic black now, and i dont really want to have the door shuts etc done and would like to stick to black. So the question really is, does anybody have any sort of blacks they like on other cars, or should i do other things like flakes or and 2 tone ideas etc, anything really.

 

So far its going to be the original colour or high gloss black. A friend of mine thinks gloss black with a red flake would be good, but for me it would have to be a very small flake, and spred across a wide area so not to look like a chav wagon!

Nope, Zummerzet I'm afraid! LOL I do know where Dilton Marsh is...other side of Salisbury isn't it? I'm in that neck of the woods a lot anyway.

Yeh thats nice, ummm no, its like a stones throw from Westbury, youd remember it if you been here, for example, today the village is exhibiting 2 bomb squad vehicles, a riot van and 2 police cars, just an every day occarance for Dildo Marsh!

Thinking about it, mines got loads of scratchs and stuff anyway so im better off getting some genuine 99 spec, mind you, i have seen the price!!!!

 

you can source the diffuser's through a club member and are not that expensive you could also make you're own if you are feeling brave. There are a few threads on here explaining how it's done can be a pain prising the lights apart but some have done it with few issues , and some errrmmm have not :rofl:

The 300zx came in Metallic black and Gloss black, so you could use the standard Nissan Gloss black if you wanted.

My mates got a black type oooaar, didnt think much to the black, its not shiney enough, i used to be into beetles, and there was this one 1000+bhp big block, big turbo, pro drag car in a magazine as a feature, and the name for the colour was something like ''pro high gloss black'' or rearrangement of those words!

I think you'd be suprised. Shine comes from the condition of the top coat generally. The more lacquer, the more you can condition the surface afterwards to acheive a deep gloss by detailing the paintwork and protecting it.

btw.. i personally prefer the hard plastic mudflaps that are less intrusive if the lines as apposed to the rubber jobbies. though if you paint them the same colour as the car they tend to look ok.
