  oh yea sorry guys theres no zorst on the car as the revs are coming down you can hear a kinda knocking sound that i think is the wheel in the turbo touching the casing :)

If there's a 'zizzing' sound then that's when the compressor wheel is touching the casing.

I also had one making a 'CHA CHA CHA' type noise.... This was when the turbo shaft had snapped in two :D :D

Pull the exhaust downpipes off and you will see the exhaust turbine. See how much play there is in the shaft (should be almost zero for a new turbo) and see how free it runs too.

ahhh o know the bit you mean i will have a look thanx for your help :)

Bud its not a case of guessing from the noise, have u pulled off the downpipes and checked the exhaust side of the turbo. I stripped a car when i broke it and cant remember if u can get the compressor side of the intake off to access that area of the turbo to check it. Is the car boosting ok? Maybee by the sounds of your first post the engine needs to come out but then again have u had it compression tested to confirm the internal damage or is it missfiring electrically or ptu or something. Eliminate things first so as to save u grief and work that u dont need to do if you check things properly first.
