I finally got round to fitting my 12" Alpine sub and custom fitted contoured enclosure.

Now, I have never fitted a sub to any of my cars as I've never really been that fussed by ICE. But since I'd fitted an "all singing, all dancing" 2din Alpine touch screen, new wiring and speakers, I thought it deserved it. Boy, was it worth the wait!

All the stuff has just been sat in the spare room for months, I've only just pulled my finger out and fitted it all.

The difference in overall definition is just amazing! It will never win any sound offs, but the whole system has a quality feel to it. Really happy with the result!

Will get some pics up of it soon as it looks pretty good too!

Top man, I have reciently done the same, you forget how much better a proper system sounds when powered by an amp and set up correctly, i havent really had a system in my daily drive or the zed for about 2/3 years and forgot how good they sound.

I never have mine on barry volume, just on enough that it cuts in at the very bottom end. Can't wait to get started on my install when i get the chance. Just want to get the car on the road first in fact either of them would be good for a start! lol

Some pics. The boot is a bit of a mess at the moment as A: it needs a vacumme and B: I still haven't figured out where to site the amp. I want it have to hidden from view, so maybe I'll have to dispense with the lovely Nissan tool kit....and fit it that side.

I am also going to get another boot carpet that I can hack up rather than cut up my own.
