new gauges.......?

hiya.

i have just purchased 3 gauges boost, oil temp and water temp now i have just spent the last hour searching through many threads as where to connect for each gauge, everyone seems to be fitting in many ways :headvswal

where is the best place for each individual gauge sensor to get the best reading's please help cause as soon as the post man gets here they are getting fitted (hopefully):(

    The oil temp gauge... you need a sandwich plate that goes between the oil filter and engine.. thats the bet place for that... you also need top rad hose boss to screw in the temp sensor... you need to get a 38mm adaptor.. readily available from ebay... cut the top hose and secure this in... the boost pressure gauge you need to go to the drvers side of the plenum and on the balance bar there will be 2 hoses.. you need to t into the furthers one back.....

    Patience is a virtue!!

     

    Boost - tee off the balance bar

     

    Water - either weld a bung in the top water pipe, re-tap the existing sender location (stock gauge will be dead) or use an adaptor to go in flexible water pipe - demon tweeks, ebay etc

     

    Oil - either a sandwich plate (ebay ones may leak) or you can use an unused location on the block which is near the filter - it's the LHD location - I used it but mounted the sender remotely using a short piece of braided tubing as it's tight on space.
