I need to replace the rear spoiler on my zed but I can't decide which one to get :headvswal

My choice is between an FBglass replica of the original or a 99 spec one.

The car is black and I'll be keeping the original front bumper, would a 99 spec look good?

I've also heard that the 99spec gives a better view out the rear, is this true?

 

Any comments are welcome.

Hi, I went for the Original style replica spoiler for my car and TBH I think it was the wrong choice. Don't get me wrong, I like the look of the 'original' car, but the spoiler is what slightly dates it now.

I wish I had got the 99 spec - and its the same price too!

As for the view issue - the 99 spec can't give a better view. It will actually hinder the view more than the original cos it sticks up. Worth this small sacrifice though as the car looks more to date.

Yes, but then you would need a perspex panel fitted in place of the original spoiler, and you could opt to have the brake light version

IMHO the original makes the car look dated. I'd say 99 :)

99spec is harder to see out of than the original, but its not really a problem.

 

The Brake light gets integrated into the perspex strip above the rear lights, not the spoiler.

It's not about trying to be a 1999/2000 year car, it's about making it look good! The 99 spoiler is the spoiler the car shoud have had from the start. Just look at one from the back, it perfectly follows the line of the car round over the top, then from the side it gives you the gorgeous lines of a smoothie, but with the added benefit of a spoiler! It just looks right for the car. All IMHO (although my opinion happens to be right:D)
