I've got water in the passenger footwell of my new zed, it doesn't smell of anything so I'm thinking it's the targa drain that's blocked and not the a/c. Problem is I can't find the fecking thing!!! Spent ages today in my other breaker zed trying to find it but no joy. Can some tell me where it is as I can't afford to lose any more hair!

That's a good point.. lol :wack:

the pipe runs down the pillar by the window screen on both sides. pop off the plastic cover as you will see the pipe behind it! it may have split there. to see take your t top off and poor some water down the drain hole to see it run down the pipe.

and if its blocked then compressed air from the top and just blow the shit down

is that definitely the targa tube and not the scuttle area drain, because i thought it came out at the bottom of the car like the rears? If this is the case mine must have a problem as they both exit via the sills.

Right, I've popped off the window pillar and poured water down the drain plug, there doesn't appear to be any splits in the pipe. Next, I got my little compressor out and blew air down the hole, put some more water in and it's dripping out from the bottom of the wing but I'm still getting water dripping into the footwell as well - it's dripping onto the wood panel covering the ecu :headvswal

Help!! What do I do now

There is a drain tube for the Aircon just above the ECU board. Rubber tube that comes out of the big aircon unit above it and should go through the bulkhead above the wooden board - Check it has not split or been pulled out.

Cheers Legrath, i've found a tube that's not connected to anything! It's just above the white plastic harness connector block, looks like it's dripping down on to the harness above the ecu, then onto the ecu cover board. Just got to figure out how to get at the bugger without talking the dash off! lol

It was the targa Drain pipe that had come out of the tube that goes through the wing that was causing my wet floor.

I tried to put it back in but the pipe wouldn't reach  Popped the window pillar cover off again to see if I could move the pipe and it did fit, however the pipe was being pulled tight so when the pillar cover went back on it came out at the bottom again

So I took a bit of brass rod about 5/6" round and with the help of my dad and his Myford, we made a little basin/funnel type fitting.

This fits perfectly into the wing drain tube and the targa pipe then sits in the basin at the top, resulting in the drain now working as it should :hyper:

I'm really chuffed how it turned out, yeah it may be a bit over-engineered but I had fun and used a lathe for the first time.
