After having 'issues' with myself over the past few months and making rash thoughts, something hit home to me today.

 

Have driven the Z quite a bit this weekend. Well, yesterday after taking it out, all I seemed to notice where the stares. Took it out today and I had kids shouting 'nice car mate' at me as I drove by. The best bit was while I was sat at lights in central Bristol and this guy in a pearl yellow Murcielago pulls up with the reg plate 'P4ATT'. Guy looks over at the car and nods and smiles. Was chuffed that even a 20 year old Nissan still gets a look in. The same happened last year whilst Maddie and I were taking a spirited sprint up the twistes through Cheddar Gorge with a DB9 sat on my bumper. The Z held its own and as I turned off onto another road, a few paps from the horn of the DB9 and a wave from the driver.

 

But the best was yet to come. Some guy had seen my car in Japanese Performance Magazine from the Z32 buying guide they did in Summer 07. He'd written into AndyP and had asked to get hold of me.

 

Turns out the guy has had quite a number of exotic cars (911s, M5s etc), including a 300zx many years ago and said that if I ever sell it that I should be contacting him first!

 

Well, that sealed it. The Z stays. No questions.

Its a shame you missed the Cornwall meet today....the look on peoples faces as they completely stop what they are doing and come to a complete halt to watch the convoy of zed's making there way through their small cornish seaside town. Plenty of favourable comments overheard from pedestrians as I followed behind the convoy with my windows down.

I had a cracker tonight!

 

Finished work, 2 young couples (mid 20's) walk out as i chuck my work clothes in the boot, 1 lad says nice car mate... before i can answer the chick goes to you have a gf mate cus ill dump him for you!!

 

I chuckled and said No Thanks ;) Also had a DB9 with licence plate DAD1 beep me when i pulled off the Motorway the other week! Always great feeling :D

the high cost of ownership in a sorted zed pays of in the driving experence and the thumbs up from other drivers in similar performance cars, great therapy for us all. Time to get my zed out of the garage I think and welcome back Si

Ive been getting nothing but stares in the zed now its almost finished, Even had a guy in a car in front open his door at the lights to look at the zed, i gave it some beans and at the next set of lights he opened his window and asked for my number lol.. OK!!! kids at the lights just stare and say mummy mummy look look at that car.....

 

at my new job all the staff keep talking to me about the car non stop asking me questions etc all day, lol starting to get annoying.

 

Even when working on the car on the drive people just wanna talk to me about it and ask to go for a drive in it etc etc.
