Depends what you want it for.. i have i think it's great, the only down sides are:

no picture messaging, although there is an app you can down load that link to 02's web site to look at the pictures.

no video facillities.

Reading hotmail emails is a bit time consuming and dif if not in a 3g area.

cant customise ring tones so your stuck with what apple put on

Good bits

Full internet on your phone.

full 8g/16g ipod on your phone..

batt is very good.

applications are good, can down load new stuff all the time.

touch screen is very good once you get used to it and learn to trust the pridictive and auto corretion software (text)

What you using it for????

Cheerz

Neil

I have a sony ericsson Xperia X1, its F'in awesome. I love it. But HTC;s latest offerings are also a safe bet, however these two sets of phones are both windows based, were as the iphone is mac based or whatever its called this week.

However, this sort of phone however nice are imensly complicated, and have featuers that alot of people will never need.

One phone id like to recommend is the C905, fitted with an 8mp camera and auto face detection means its a cracking camera with a phone attached. ALthough its a little bulkier than some of the other offerings from soem MFR;s

Ok thanks I will check out the C905

LOL.... guess so ;)

i have a black berry bold 9000 as well, and that is awesome..... got it on 02 for free.... might be worth a look.. that too has full internet, but can do mms, videos and customising the ring tones... and real buttons too lol

I was podering over the iphone or the HTC Touch HD, i went for the HTC in the end as the screen is better, you can find alot of software for windows mobile 6.1, inc TomTom, and i didn't want to be a sheep too

also the ipod touch screen is heat sensative so you can't have any gloves etc on when using it, the htc you can plus it has a nice built in pen to use too, plus the Htc can send MMS etc.

Must admit, I subsribed to web and walk the last time I upgraded and TBH I fookin hated it. Used it once, got vext and gave up with it. These modern mobiles are built and designed for 14 year old school kids.....showing my age or what? LOL

I use my phone for making calls and answering when someone calls me (when I bother to switch it on Iain LOL).

Can't be doing with all these gadgets and add ons that come with modern phones.

Bring back 'the brick', you cannot go wrong with them LOL

No camera no vids and no texts but it did what it said on the tin and was simply a phone to speak to people:rofl:

Ian....How you doing mate? Good I hope. Anyway I just got the LG Renoir on Vodafone and I have found it to be excellent. Its got 8 MP camera with lots of good effect settings touch screen and all the bits the Iphone is missing. Just thought you might want to check it out mate. Phones4U are good they allow you to take the phone back if you cant get on with it within 14 days.

vini;)

EDIT: Heres a link.http://www.phones4u.co.uk/promotions/handsets/LG_Renoir_KC910/ like i said very good item this. you can customise the (desk top) screen with your own widgets and the scrolling is done with your finger I am well impressed. The alternative was the Samsung Pixon. Pretty much the same as this but apparently the camera isnt as good and the screen isnt customisable

the renoir is great and has everything you require, the SE X1 has everything you every want and more but is way too confusing for me, to many hurdles to jump over to do anything but if you can put up with it you wont get a more tech heavy phone. As for iphone as the first reply about what it doesn't/does have but for me these are things i dont use, for pictures i have email on iphone that i can download pics over wifi for free so i would never use picture messages. the iphone for me is the best phone i have used and i have had alot its so easy and the ipod on it is great, lots of apps that show how clever the phone can be. I had the X1 nd renoir but kept my iphone its not perfect but is very good

NO NO NO NO!

Kind of reminds me of a wide mouth frog thats got hit by a train. The keypad does not follow the sleek lines of the phone, the screen is way too big and the colour does it no justice, it looks like something an inbred chav would buy to compensate for his/her lack of brain cells:rofl:

*disclaimer*

( not all blackberry owners are inbreds or chavs ) LOL

cant customise ring tones so your stuck with what apple put on

Not true you can download or put files into ITunes and load them on that way.

Battery life is much better with the last two updates.

No complaints with it to be honest I've used this phone a lot more than any of my other phones put together.

Just thought I would show off my renoir camera shots:

This is off my Sony cyber shot 9.1 MP bridge camera (which is a fantasic piece of kit :):

DSC00224.jpg

But still even though they have been adjusted for photobucket. Not a lot of difference really as a quick snap.
