Guess what, my new slicktop is running on 5 cylinders

Not to worry tho, i think its the ptu and i have a series 2 already.

Also noticed that my steering is abnormaly light, makes for really poor feedback and doesn't really inspire confidence, what can cause this?

Im guessing it has a delimiter gizzmo on it as it has a speedo face for 180MPH which reads ok.

Would a chipped ECU delimit the car and stop this? whilst still reading in MPH?

delimter is probably messing up the assisted power steering.

5 cylinders would explain why you think the auto is comparable to a manual ;)

A chip would de limit the car... unsure as to teh speedo conversion, i guess if it's reading in MPH then that would remain as it's not from the ECU the conversion is done.....

No mate, it was running on a 6 when i picked it up, its just started on 5, i can sort this dont worry, and i stand by my statement, the auto is comparable to the manual :mac1:

And let me explain the ecu question again

Currently my car has KPH clocks with a MPH 180 face, so still reads in kph...

nevermind ive answered my own question, all i need is to get a jap ecu/chipped and remove the de-restrictor thing from behind the clocks
