I have been watching All this Tv show's, Street Wars/Brit Cops/Night Cops etc etc, and they have shown me that we must have the largest drinking/violence culture in europe if not the world. in almost every Town/City in the UK, It's always kicking off, with piss heads just wanting to fight or attack other people for no reason, other than they are pissed and they can.

I was a Doorman for many years, and I left coz I got fed up of pissed up idiots just wanting to cause bother for nothing. The social scene in this country is disgracefull. what ever happened to going out clubbing for a drink, a laugh and a dance, then walking home with a Pizza. :(

i have been watching the same programs and it really makes you think. many people get hit just because they "looked at somebody funny" wtf is that all about!!! i rarely go into town any more "clubbing" because i just can't be arsed with trouble

I've been a doorman for 14 years and all I can say is it's getting a lot worse. I think most of the problems stem from the way these scumbags are being brought up. They aren't being taught values any more, the difference between right and wrong, respect, manners etc, all the things we all the things we learnt from our parents and take for granted.

I was nearly bottled the other week for telling someone politely they can't take their drink outside!!! I mean for FFS what is going on in these kids heads!!??

Sorry to hear about your encounters mate. I think you're right though, kids lack values in these times. I never use to believe this comment, but now I think it's true 'A kids problem starts at home'.

Yeah sorry about that mate, no need to bring it up on the forum though :D

I rarely go into Cardiff anymore, preferring instead to pop to my local, but even then I've had run ins with the inbread moronic idiots who can't handle their drink. Unfortunatley, being 6', 220Lbs and a skinhead seems to attract Assholes. I've been in a pub at lunchtimes with my 2 year old and have been approached but jumped up kids who are out to make a name for themselves, which is just ridiculous, what do these d1ckheads expect?, full on punch up when my son could get injured in the process. Sad thing is it's generally the 18 to 25 yrs olds who are to immature to no better... Us slightly older bods can't be arsed anymore, as we ache for days afterwards... :-)

Couldn't agree more!!!!!!! All socialising seems to revolve around in the UK is drink.

There is also the camera phone violence stuff - Kids attacking innocent passers-by for no reason just so they can video it and send it to there mates

My girlfriends a teacher and the way kids act now days doesn't surprise me. The teachers don't have the control. The parents seem to stick up for the kids when they do something wrong. The stories I hear from her is quite shocking.

I mean the three schools she has worked at have had 'time out card' If they are getting wound up in lessons they can show these cards and leave the lesson.

She told me one kid was doing chin ups on the gas pipes, she called the parent and the parent said don't mind him his just building up his muscles.

Also one kid demanded that the teacher said please before she would do what the teacher said.

I agree that I think this starts from home.

Yep it is called happy slapping, we seemed to go through a stage of it not long back and i remember one story the local paper ran. 3 lads were videoing each other and daring each other to go and smack the first person to come out of a shop etc... One of them picked on the wrong one tho, he ran upto him and cracked him round the back of his head and then started doing a little dance for the camera. The victim dropped his shopping turned around and with one swift blow knocked the tw@ stone cold unconcious! And left the little fvcker KO'd on the ground :D

Well said.

I think that is disgusting the amount of power kids have within a classroom. Time out cards? What's next, cards that allow the kids to go outside for a smoking break? There isn't much that differentiates adults from children these days, maybe only the fact that adults work and children do not.

I think this country needs to take a step back and take a leaf out of the 70/80's where adults were adults and children...were children.

I don't, we'd have a disagreement that it would all be forgotten when we start talking about Zeds
