ive been looking for a daily driver at the minute i drive a alfa rameo 156 selespeed that i personally think is horrible to drive as i hate driving cars that drive for you

my mates brother has this car below for sale and he asked me if i would swap my alfa for his car as he needs something he can put a roof rack on for his work

ive seen the car a few times now and it sounds and looks quite nice the pictures dont do it justice he had it on a rolling rad and its got 184 bhp so what do you lot think ??????

Looks like a nice little motor, with an engine rebuild only 8K ago exhaudt and wheels it's well worth the cash IMO

No thanks. Despite its performance, I can't stand its geriatric looks. For the performance it's pretty reasonable price though.

these are great cars my mate has had 2 (1xsi & 1xgti) he still has the gti..(minter) only a few thing to look for on these as the engines are bullet proof!

.front crossmember under rad (RUST)

.drive shafts

.can eat front tyres if not set up correct!

some early one suffered with short life gear boxes..

but for £1000 quid you cant go wrong. my mate paid £1800 quid no rust but just had a new clutch fitted & 2 sets of front tyres in 8 months..

Even although the Almera is quicker the 156 is more the drivers car, better looking, nicer interior and more modern. If your not getting on with the Alfa then definatly worth a good test drive in the Almera to see if its your thing or not, price seems very reasonable.

Loved my old 1.4 Almera - absolutely bulletproof reliability. They DO rust though - mainly rear wheel arches. Actually regarded as a rather good handling car in its day. They can be quite anonymous to look at though (maybe a good thing in some ways?)

seems liek it would be a god deal, depending on if you liked the almera on a test drive tho.
