Well i know both DTA and MJP can supply suspension parts - so maybe worth a quick PM to them :)

Also i have KYB AGX Shocks and Eibach Springs - very popular choice and i find them to be superb!

I'm running S-tech with KYB AGX. I bought most of my stuff from the US though. DTA can do you the geometry stuff and shocks. I am sure he can get the S-tech too. MJP can get you the new gaskets/shock boots too.

Yeah it does. The back not so much, although it is lower, but the front is nice. I am happy with the stance. Takes a few weeks for it all to settle properly. Make sure you get the adjustable tension rods and camber arms etc.

It's stiffer than stock, but pretty smooth. You feel it more over rough road surfaces, but generally, it offeres a pretty forgiving ride. I've not really messed about with the shock settings and TBH, I'd probably like it a bit softer, but I can adjust that when I drive it next. I think I've done about 1,000 miles with the new suspension on. Did a nice long jaunt down to southern Normany in it and was quite happy with it.

Much more sure footed and positive around the twisties. Much more chuckable. It's a good combination. I was originally going to go for Eibach, but the drop wasn't enough for me. H&R would be my ultimate spring, but those are special order only and cost about £500.

just what i was looking for, top man.

I need tension rods anyway so getting adjustable ones is a no brainer,

At the minute im looking at:

-KYB-AGX dampers

-Tein S-tech springs

-Driftworks Hicas eliminator (need bushes anyway)

-Driftworks Front upper Castor arms

-Drifworks Rear castor arms

-Adjustable tension rods (dont know which ones yet)

And

-4 New Toyo proxes T1-R's (going up to 255's on the rear)

-Redstuff pads front and rear

-Braided hoses

-Full cambelt change with water pump and aux belts

-New o2 sensor

Should set me back a few grand when fitting is counted too :)

I think I spent £1k on bits for my suspension rebuild.

I bought the following :

Tein S-tech

KYB AGX

Powertrix adjustable front tension rods

Powertrix adjustable front camber arms

Powertrix adjustable rear camber arms

Various bits and bobs from MJP.

I recently replaced all my tyres and I jumped up a size. 245fr and 275 rear. What width are your rear wheels?

be careful with the front upper camber arms... r32 ones aren't the same as 300zx ones - there's some pictures on here somewhere of the difference... and the resulting failures!!

mentioned in here http://300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=75334&highlight=driftworks+camber but I can't follow the link!

It's to do with the shoulder being a different length, which causes it to foul when the suspension moves full travel... I can;t find the pictures at the minute, but there was one with the 2 shown together, highlighting the different proportions.

Yeah unfortunately that link don't work now cos Danny deleated the actual post.

Anyway pic below, sorry just yet i can't make the wording bigger to veiw.

But in short, Nissan of the late 80's early 90's used very similar suspension set ups, however similar being the operative word, offsetts are not the same across the board. So in theory parts made for other Nissan's will certainly fit in the space given, but doesn't always mean it does the same job.

Add to that our car is possibly the heaviest out of the other nissans our parts will fit and vice versa, i personally favour these type of parts to be supplied and manufactured by companies who specialise in the Zed only and not generic Nissan.

cheers

I have apex adjustable camber arms and they are listed as skyline/300zx. cant remember if it was r32 or r33 though. Also they might be for sale if the insurance let me buy the car back will know in the next couple of days hopefully.

Hi Pete,

Ref. missing link: that was removed in the cleanup when the Smithy's Place section in the Traders Forum closed. Sorry about that.

However, it is EXACTLY as Smithy says - the R32/S13/S14 listed upper arms ARE DIFFERENT to the Z32 upper arms. I would STRONGLY recommend you DO NOT buy the driftworks upper arms (or tension rods for that matter). Stick with parts that you know have been designed SPECIFICALLY for use on the Z32 ie, Powertrix parts as per my previous post.

I'm awaiting confirmation of current pricing and will then put together a comprehensive and (hopefully) competitive price package for you on all the parts you're after.

Regards,

Dan
