I got a set off some punto or other, the only problem it that it's for low beam and fog, is there anyway I can use the fog as high beam? maybe changing bulbs or doing something to the lens?

zx dont use bulbs they use candles lol

i found that i can only see where i'm going when i'm on high beam.

cant think of anyway to improve them though as i have put bigger brighter bulbs in and now can see about 3 feet in front of the car!

Hid's is the next step, but I've already done that. Next I wanna use 2 low bean projector units and a high beam projector. Not to sure how to yet:(

Fit HIDs and you'll have no problem.

Don't use the fog as high beam (or dip beam for that matter) because it is designed to cast the light wide but only a short distance from the car (unlike dip/main beam). Other than that I can't see how you can convert the existing Z headlight unit to accept two dip beam projectors ...

Not sure if I'll be using the existing unit, might be easer to make a fibreglass base up. similar to z center item

Why don't you just fit HIDs? You won't have fanny around at all with any of that then. I find I don't even need my main beam on with HIDs.

Clean the lenses and have the lights adjusted professionally for a start! This will make a great difference. Then, as Si says, fit an HID conversion kit to the projector dipped beams.

The results will be good.

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

You're actually going to blind people if you have anymore light. Seriously, do you really need them?

Didn't realise so many people were driving around with 2 sets of HID dipped beams on their cars.

Quite simply you'll fall foul of the MOT regs when you next go = FAIL!

Also if your intention is to put out enough light to blind oncoming drivers, may I suggest that you give up driving because I think that's disgusting!

Headlights with the insides cleaned and HID fitted will put out more than enough light with dipped beam.

For high beam just fit some high wattage/super bright bulbs. Do not fit HID for High beam.

why aint Hids a good idea of high beam?

They take several seconds to warm up to brightness and being switched on and off severly shotens their lifespan compared to halogens.

Which means they are useless for flashing high beam. As far as Im aware no cars come with HID full beam from the factory.

here is my hids in action i have also fitted blue sidelights now
