Have you checked the small print?? Seen this before - you'll need FSH (prob with Nissan or an approved specialist) and there's usually an age limit on the car - check, if it's an import, that they know that otherwise the date of registration will just be the import date...

Although, for that money it's not a bad deal just for breakdown and battery cover!

No checked with the AA all covered.

Had these covers before were you go to claim and they read you the small print! With this AA cover they check the age of you car as you give them your REG Number so they know how old your car is and were its from. You take your car to the garage of your choice and the AA does the rest!

You have to take the car there or the AA take it there for you ?

Ok, well good luck with it..!

Just had a glance through the T&Cs:

Read Vehicle Servicing Obligations - Clause 2. and prior to that there is a note about imported vehicles... make sure that you've given them a manufacture date, not registration date from you V5 if its an import...

The car must be completely stock - no filters, chips, etc etc

Exploratory work is not covered - e.g. the garage start stripping down to find a fault not covered - then you're liable for costs incurred, as well as having it all put back together.

Rich

I've got this with my veccy, could have sworn that they only do it for cars up to 10years old tho'

you can pay a premium for cars over 10 yrs.

I received a letter from them yesterday , asking me to re-join

(last car i had with them was capri mk3:rolleyes:)

When i phoned them they mentioned about 5 breakdowns a year thing. Sounded rarther good ! Im gonna have to check the small print now though!

£475.00 does not seem much when most engine jobs on the car require the engine to be removed and refitted ?

maybe not, but for £60 a year I get £475x5 repairs if needed.

Thats £2375 of repairs for £60. I think that makes great sense.

Also - if I do need an engine swap costing £1500 - 2k I would be happier if the AA are picking up 25% of that bill minimum! and they will deal with the recovery. That £475 covers the labour of taking the engine out!

i have this and they charge me like 13quid a month due to the age of car etc.

Been rescued twice both minor jobbies :( but always glad to pay when i use it unlike bloody insurance what a scam

Is this standard breakdown/relay/ home start or some form of warranty cover? what do the AA actually call it?
