A Hilux is a 4x4 mate yep :D Good car too - very far from a zed or being fast even - or being good at handling even

My dad has an old one as a workhorse - keeps going and going :D

dont do it mate my brother has an x5 and has done for years and swears by it. stick with what you originally wanted mate. not worth taking more of a loss than you already have as silver streak is a beautiful car and deserves better for it.

youd have to learn parachuting just to get out of it. not too safe for the family.

looks quality, do it mate

seems to have had the time and money spent on it similar to your zed, although not as much and in a diffrent direction.

i saw that about a year ago for sale on ebay i think

one of the pics was in a pub car park that thing is massive lol

and iirc it was for sale for about 5 grand not 100% sure

id do a px with it for sure nice bit of kit

If its anything like the regular Hilux (and I expect its worse than a regular hilux) then its very utilitarian ....a lot like an old Transit to drive, and nothing like modern 4x4's.

just ask yourself a couple of questions, do you really want it? would you ever consider buying 1 for cash?, would it be any easier to resell than the z? good luck with wharever you decide

Just sent me a picture of it, also on Piston heads.

WTF !!!!!

Thats pritty smart, i would be tempted if i was you.........But can you imagine the price of a tyre for that thing.lol!!

The Hilux 4 x 4 is unbreakable and an absolute trojan, doing what it is meant to be doing - off road work, farm work, builders work, forestry etc... My brother had one (without the monster suspension and wheels) and used it for what it was designed for. I had the loan of it from him once before he sold it on. Brother loved it, but he'd go up the mountains deer hunting with it.

I have owned/own a trooper, amazon and X5 which are all 4x4's. When it comes to regular driving, the older Hilux (that one) isn;t in the same league even in comparison to the trooper. A better comparison would be to a tractor. I am not kidding. Awful pickup, bad handling and wait for it, bad MPG.

Get rid of the thought from your head or you deserve a :mac1:

I've got a 2 year old X5 as our daily and absolutly love it.

As it drives like a car not a wallowing old barge.

Just to put the record straight. I would not trade my 300 for that. Nor would I buy it if it was £2k and I had the cash to spare.

Thank goodness for that:bow:

I wouldnt be seen dead in it personally:hurl:

What a useless bit of crap:rolleyes:

Agreed. Bit like the mid-90s Shogun (Pajero) and old Landrover Discoverys. Horrible wobbly drive.
