I lent my 90 J Auto N/A Z (I bought it from Uno a few months ago) to my partner's son. He'd actually driven it lots of times, but lost it coming out of a R/B and hit some bollards! Any good wisdom on what's best to do with it:

  • Break it?
  • Sell complete as scrap?
  • Any other option? Too broken to fix I think!

114,000 kms, Engine still runs fine and it moves but power steering gone. As a stock ride, it felt very tight and comfortable, Hugely sad for a great piece engineering!

Fortunately I still have a TT manual which he's not going to drive!

Ouch! Sad seeing a dead zed :(

If you got space and time - break it.

Christ, Uno is somewhat of a bad omen. ;)

Sorry to see that mate. I think breaking it would make the most of your return. Selling it as scrap would be quite hard and you'd not get a whole lot for it.

1st..is he well enough after the crash for a kick up the arse??

2nd..looks a heavy hit and beyond economic repair

3rd..has he had a kicking yet??:wack::rofl:

oh john...what a p1sser....slap the lad will you :D....such a sweet car to drive

its well worth letting the vultures descend (breaking) if you got the space to do it.

chris

PS to Flunksi....you cheeky git ;)

i got a bottle of autoglym you could borrow , im sure it will polish out :)

such a shame to see a dead zed , even worse when it was such a nice one as this

Very sad threads these are :( poor car RIP

yeh, lots of these threads this time of the year. Carefull out there people

Sorry to see this :(

As already said, breaking it seems the only realistic option, the damage is too bad to fix really and as a whole car it aint worth a great deal, so break it and sell every part you possibly can.

before you break it get a proffesional opinion about getting it repaired i.e is it possible to repair it withhin reason, second hand parts ect shame to see another zed dead but something to think about, hope nobody is hurt.

sorry to see this!

as said breaking it would raise the most, sell as many good part from it as you can:)
