HI,

How do I empty my fuel tank?

I thought about simply putting a hose in the tanks and doing it the old school way but I dont want a mouth full of fuel so are there any alternatives?

I tried to locatre my fuel return line but got confused has anyone got a picture of which one it is as theis is prob the safest way.....

If you have a SWB then they have drain plug bolts in the bottom of the tank, otherwise I guess you could undo the pipe that comes from the fuel filter to to the balance bar and put the end into a container and crank it over, depends how much is in the tank now though as you would'nt want to be doing that for too long.

I'd just drive the car as much as possible before the new owner collects it mate - it's not worth the hassle for £60;)

Done that b4 but did take a while

drive around untill you run out then throw a match in the filler neck to burn off the excess........

dont you just hate people who give bad or un thaut thru advice!!

;) ***do not throw a match in your fuel filler neck!!***

I took the pump out and syphoned mine out when I broke her. Put it in the Skoda and lasted about 3 weeks, lol.

just ask the new owner to buy it off you at a discounted price;)

I bought something from my local car spares shop for this.

It's pump that fits on the end of a drill.

It's black plastic with a metal shaft which you attach your drill to.

It emptied out 30+ litres from a Honda Jazz tank pretty quickly I'll tell you :D
