hi all first post so thought id say hi :D:D

am very new to these jap cars only ever owned one prior to this and that was a swift gti ,which was an eye opener to say the least lol :nana2::nana2:

heard about my current buy (fairlady z tt)through a friend was told had been sitting there for a while ,anyway went to see it and it looked ok so i got it very cheaply

my first question is does anyone know of it the reg is c 300 x lol nice plate i know hehehe:mac1:

to be honest im a ford lad through and through ( i own 3 cosworths)

and was a bit dissapointed in its performance btw its a twin turbo import but is auto sadly (may convert it in future if easy)

feels very sluggish and not sure what to expect after my cosworths ,im sure there is room for improvement just not sure were to start ???

think its in std setup as still has 112mph limiter as i found on way to mot today (on my private grounds lol)

boost is displayed in hg as apposed to psi which im used to ...

so what is 7hg on the dash in psi????

also is there any room for improvement through tightening actuator rods????

im looking for any info on the car reg no is c300x

and also cheap tuning mods keeping it semi reliable lol:cry::cry:

will sort the usual induction/filter kit

already has a stainless

can you get adjustable actuators or am i best buying a boost controller setup???

any ideas would be peachy thanks

and lastly hi all :nana2::nana2::

have to admit the leather looks far nicer nut the pic of your interior looked good aswell liked the 6by9 door speaker pods very neat mate!!

mine is a g reg i think 89-90 so is that series 1??

think interior will gro on me well either that or the mold thats starting to grow due to damp and sitting still for yr or so hahaha:nana2:

some nice interiors there though guys

it failed mot on no foglights doh, just found ultra secret hidden switch for them though hahahah ah well one less job to do for mot i suppose

just needs small plate on sill and jacking point then back in quite shocked really ..not bad for what i paid to be honest

also a quick qeustion what make turbo,s do they use are they ikk or ihi units or something else and is it true manual models have larger turbs??

only have pics of my fords on laptop shame will take some pics tommoroow of the zed so you lads can tell me what you think???

:cool::cool:

To be total honest. when i first got in it i thought it was realy dated and the pods looked odd. as there is nothing like it. But after a few miles you begin to love it and you start to notice how right and comfortable the driving position is. Soooooooooo much better than my supra.

Im in 2 minds weather or not to change to leather or keep what i have as it is so dam soft and comfy :)

The manuals are quicker that the autos. by 0.5 as i do believe thay have a little less power

As for Fords im not a fan sorry :(

Also you can fit 6x9's in the doors its really easy :)

garrett t25 tubs mate

Back to the origional thread, we use to have a C300R, lets see some pictures and we can see if we recognise it.

C300R was on 2 zeds i owned....crashed the first one:mac1:...transfered the plate to my spare zed....the 2nd was a red TT manual which i sold...still owned by a fella down south if i recall...not a member of the club though:duffer:

love those velour seats

There not even electric! :xxx::xxx: :rofl:

well at least my grandad covered seats are electric lol

is this rare then for velour trim hahahah:tongue:

Mine are electric and in Velour :D

Dont know why mine are not electic as all series 2 came with electric and velour. but mine are just velour??

Not really bothered tho because when you seat is in position thats it. the supra is electic but only used it once ;)

Turbo's are smaller on an auto and they are fractionally slower to 60 but slightly quicker to 100!

Sounds to me like your need to get the car running properly before messing about with the boost.

First check to see if the car is in safety mode.

Method 1 - http://www.ttzd.com/tech/diagnostictech.html

Method 2 - http://www.twinturbo.net/ttnetfaq/FAQpages/ECUdiagnostics.html

yeah tried that showing nothing at all so all is good mate ,just think it has some old stagnant gunky fuel bunging things up ... have ordered a new fuel filter and will clean system asap

have took pics but cant upload them to photobucket just yet ???? for some reason

cheers guys

cheers lads the reg was on the car ( c300 x ) looks nifty

put some nice new iridium plugs in and checked belts etc all is fine :cool:

Erm I thought Iridium sparks were not the best thing for the 300, I was told that you better sticking with platium ones and that irdium were better suited to high reving engines, I used them in my Integra Type R DC5, and Civic Type R EP3.

You may also wish to check you have the right plugs in. Non Turbo and Turbo run different grades and people sometimes get the wrong ones. Not sure about the iridium plug but standard plug for the TT is PFR6B-11C. Sure somebody a bit more technically minded can advise better.

NGK versions of the correct plugs are as follows:

PFR6B-11C = stock plug for standard boost

PFR5B-11C = for very cold weather

PFR7B-11C = for anything above stock boost (However, If you find these anywhere let me know ;) )
