I'm just interested. We have over 400 subscribed members but many who are subscribed lay dormant.

I know there are many reasons that people subscribe to this forum. Ranging from the social atmosphere, technical help, for sale access etc.

IF you are a subscribed member or have been before why did you subscribe ?

Been a member for just over a year - Subscribed partly for the access, but mostly because it is only fair to give something back for all the advice that other members so freely give up.

Also from a social point of view, it is great to have a little bit of British to help keep up to date on whats going on back there.

I have only got just over 100 posts in a year, so I suppose that could be classed as dormant, but I try to post only when I have something useful to say.

Its great not just for Zed knowledge, but also for the wealth of other experience other users can offer, and it appears for the most part that there is a loose support network to help others when things go tits up.

i subscribed up because when i was a registered user i got more than 20pounds worth of information from the guys and thought it was only fair, plus its quite a good club to be part of.

Information and to pay the club back for hosting this site, also to get the membership pack

I first subscribed when donations were asked for (as a one off LOL) even though I don't own a Z32 as I love all aspects of the Z Range and wanted to help in supporting something I enjoy

When it became a yearly subscription Jesus it is only £15 to help keep a club running and have paid ever since

A True Z Enthusiast will always pay a small subscription fee no matter what car they own and what club their main interests lie

And Its MY Birthday Today

So i could have a custom user title :P

Nah, think its because im always on here and with the extra access it made my time on here more worthwhile with more areas to look at, read about and comment on!

Iv learned so so much about this car and most of it is thanks to this forum :D

I found the info really useful on here and joined 3 years ago (jesus is it really that long ago???) and carried on ever since. I'm also a paying member of the Z Club too.

What's 30 quid for two clubs when you get so much out of it?

And Its MY Birthday Today

Happy Birthday buddy :D

I was only a registered member for the first couple of months and got so much useful info during that time I thought it was only fair to pay £20, it would have cost alot more taking it to a garage every time I had a problem to get it sorted.

The information on this site is wonderful, the members helpful, with easy access to second hand spare parts through the members or the authorised traders on here.

Paying my initial membership to keep a club like this ticking and hosted, is really worthwhile. £20 - chicken feed for what you get in return.

I'll go one step further and say, that subscriptions should be obligatory. If you can afford a Zed, you can afford a £20 sub whether you use this site frequently or not. :slap:

....IF you are a subscribed member or have been before why did you subscribe ?

Because you're here Stuart :D And Iain thretened to break my legs and arms if I didn't!!!

I registered and subscribed almost straight away when i got my 300 in 2005. Since then I have made a few good mates and find this place a great way to chill out and get away from the woe's of every day life. BUT! just recently we have moved and its taking all my time to get the house sorted and hold down a 6 night a week job. But things are almost done now and so will be online and on here more often soon?

Snap, been here for 6 years as a subscribed member and also subscribed to the Z club as well.

I'm flattered mate, but then going by your 2nd reason if you didn't subscribe you'd be flatterned too :)

I registered with the club, but did'nt post and barely logged on. Then i went and bought an exhaust off a member and he told me about how good it was. So when i started to use it daily and post i just subscribed. Its very little money for the help you recieve :D

I was here at the beginning (well almost) when funding was first needed and it seemed the responsible thing to do really, set an example etc ....

I subscribed for a number of reasons about 3 and a half years ago. Actually wanting to be a member of the 'club', for extra forum access and communication reasons. So far, so good :)

i did because i felt guilty,

What does the cash go towards?

The share-holders xmas party, they love a nice bit of bubbley!!!!!

**** me!! Is your handbrake for when you're in the boot??? ;) Either that or you've got a funny shaped arm! :smash:

LOL. His e-brake is looking rather 'phallic'.

I think what Dave is trying to say is that it looks near impossible (unless you're double jointed) to pull up the handbrake to that angle unless you're sat in the boot. lol

Amen

I subscribed 3 times because of the "club" feel, the great meets and members always willing to help, I wanted to help this place survive.

Sorry to say but the "club" feeling has long gone form here and is just another forum of people talking about stuff rather than a bunch of mates who meet up and have a laugh. Hense no more subscription from me.

I can't remember when I first registered/subscribed, but it was ages ago, when Craig Stratton, founder of 300zx.co.uk, was still running the site from a pc under his desk.

He was the one that inspired me to set up my own Zed website/forum, namely: http://300zx-twinturbo.com

I became good friends with Craig, Warren Sheehan (a former notorious member), Steve Ellerby and other members that are now long gone.

We went to meetings in the UK, Holland and Nurburgerring together and I have gathered quite a few other friends thanks to this forum.

Unfortunately I share the same feeling as takemetothepub, that the club feeling for me has long gone, which is a real shame.

Come round to my house, we can still be friends :)

I'll sort the BBQ for spring time ;)
