Im shocked to find that the price for a jap imported windscreen for the 300 is £1800 and may have to wait up to 8 weeks for delivery!

Yer, found that out a few years ago. The insurance company sorted mine out but had the problem of they were trying to fob me off with the wrong tint first lol

UK Spec Blue tint is about £200 , available from UK stock and nicer looking.

Yea thats the same thing they was trying to do with me at first and they wanted to use the same fixings and rubbers!:rofl:

tell them to replace all the glass and itll prolly still be less than 1800 notes? all in a nice blue tint not pooey brown!

No, you dont have to declare claims for glass and my premium has stayed at the £200 mark for a year.

Only if you go the whole hog and replace all the others. Saying that, JDM Sapphire blue cars have the blue tint.

Yep, mine is Blue tint all round :)

 

Greg replaced his JDM tint with a Blue tint without changing the rest, and the difference between front and sides was'nt noticeable but the front looked much than the old brown tint.

I recently changed my windscreen

 

mates dad is a windscreen fitter and was lucky to get a good second hand one at a good price

Green ? I've only noticed blue and bronze before. Just to be clear, its not he sunstrip colour at the top, but the glass tint itself.

Dave, do you know if you can remove the rear screen without distroying the top trim? ie, there are 2 parts to the weather strip, the plastic strip along the top, the main rubber surround and the two corner tabs.
