Filled up my Manual TT yesterday morning, reset the trip counter and filled up again tonight having covered 640km's (400 miles).

I only needed to put in 55 litres to fill it up again!!

I work that out as 33.33 mpg giving me a full tank range of 512 miles on a 70L tank.

I wasn't on an economy drive, just a lot of motorway miles this weekend.

thats a lot of driving in 24h and over 33mpg on a motorway is good milage for a tt better than a na zed. tell me how many zeds did you see on a 400 mile round trip.

I probably see one zed every 3-4 months on the road, but not one in that 4-500 miles of driving - sorry

When i mentioned on here getting 33mpg out of a zed i drove back from Swindon i got shot down, lol. So glad someone else has managed it and agrees it is actually possible. :D

Prolly best to mention i've not managed it again since

Its all this winter air :D and you get more bang for buck at the gas station. different story in the summer.

on my Student Gumball with 3 of us and a fully loaded boot with camping gear we were getting 350ish to a tank! So subtract all that weight it is easily done! :D So think it was about 21mpg on motorways XD

So good on ya for making 500 on a tank!

Munny, I met up with a chap who did the Scumball rally. Was that the same event? One of my customers has White MK2 Golf GTi track car. Guy called Martin Robinson.

I did about 34 in my TT down to cornwall, half a tank basically and in my NA i managed to push 36mpg once but that was sat at just under 70 all the way down

Nah mine was the Student Gumball Rally (Also called Student BrakeAway)

Same concept as the Gumball rally England - France - Beluguim - Swiss - Italy - Slovenia - Croatia in 4day :D Total Milage just over 1500 miles :D

I must add that I am returning 30+ mpg at a steady speed from Sudbury (Derbyshire) to Sudbury (Suffolk). I have been driving at 100 to 120 Kmh (have not changed speedo yet) and must say that I am quite amazed how much petrol it is using (in a good sense : o)

just worked mine out, 13.9 mpg, thats just stop start around town, 120 miles to 39 ltres.
