NA clutch is smaller than TT (and wont hold anywhere near the same force if its stock), Im not sure of the exact measurements though.

What make is it ?

Exedy organic full face clutch Part number :

TT - 06806

Disc Outer Diameter 250mm

Spline Teeth / Major Diameter 24T / 25.6mm

NA - 06801B

Disc Outer Diameter 240mm

Spline Teeth / Major Diameter 24T / 25.6mm

thanks a lot mate!

im in work now, will have to check the model number when im home.

mechanic said was a couple of mm wrong, so im imaganing they sent the NA

going to buy from the UK this time, hopefully theyl give me my money back after ive returned it.

shud have bought from the UK, got charger £30 tax wen it arrived :(

Biggest worry mate is sending it back. It is bloody expensive to ship back unless the land/sea service is used and that takes over a month sometimes, so you wouldn't maybe get a refund from supplier until it's arrived there!

Oh and some US suppliers will not take into account duties paid when doing swaps on products. Just a heads up for a possible battle, sozz

smithy

Dont get me started about Exedy Clutches lol.:nono:Yer man Smithy sorted me out with one of his RPS Max ones :bow::bow:Never had a problem since.I did eventually get my £1100 + expenses back off Exedy Clutch Europe after going to war with the Japs.About five weeks of fookin grief.

yea just remembered it cost $109 shipping here!

so thats guna be the same again to return!

it was their fault tho theyv sent me the wrong version??

maybe they wont pay the tax, but maybe the shipping?

gutter man really not what i want at the moment

It may be best to resell it as a NA clutch in the UK/Europe.

I agree! probably get more for it than paying to ship it back! Could always buy the same clutch of Fleabay (UK) and return your wrong sized one to them in disguise as the one they sent you :P But i wouldnt really do that though :)

il buy one from this country the next few days, as cant wait to send the wrong one back to the US, then send me a new one.

then hope they will pay the shipping/tax + the value of the cluch back to me.

but i doubt it :(

anyone want a NA clutch? its cost me £180, dont know what they worth?

please someone take it from me, without ripping me off

did ya leave feedback then? If you havent then threaten to leave negative feedback if they dont compensate you for thier mistake but obviously speak to them first to see if they will compensate anyhow :D it worked for me when i recieved a faulty stretched rod bolt in my eagle rod kit. But that was becasue the seller had 100% positive feedback.

RPS Max all the way from Dan@DTA, I bought one from the US and it was the biggest pile of crap I have ever bought, never again...

didnt actually go thro ebay!

in order to ship to the UK i said id just send them money thro paypal.

ive e-mailed them, see what they say.

it is an Exedy cluch, so reasonable quality.

see what reply i get from them, will sell for cheap on here

If you're desperate to get yourself mobile again, you can use the N/A friction plate and your TT pressure plate & flywheel.

I've had this combo in my red Z since 2004 so I know it works LOL albeit with a McLeod racing clutch plate.

dont want to bodge anything,

want the tidy TT clutch :(

Fraid shipping to the US is more expensive than shipping from the US mate, sozz.

As andy says, best try and flog it in UK if they appear to not to be helpful and sort things out to your satisfaction. On a plus note, what you paid is reasonably cheap so you should in theory get yer wonga back if you

sell it over on the zclub perhaps. Good luck mate :)

Well, I had no choice but to do it really, I ordered from the USA, it arrived a week before Le Mans 2004 so I attempted to fit it.

OMG the world ended when the new pressure plate didn't line up! :(

So I made a few enquiries, getting a replacement from the USA was out of the question now because of the lack of time so I looked at the stock pressure plate clamping force which was around 900+kg IIRC, made enquiries with AP I think it was for their 'uprated' clutch kit and found their pressure plate clamping was 800kg! LOL

In the end as I said I fitted the N/A plate and TT flywheel and pressure plate just to get me to Le Mans and back, and was going to change it when I got back.

The fact is I've never needed to change it because I've never had it slip, ever!

HTH dude :)

Complain. Its their fault. Give them PN to confirm their mistake. They will have to pay for Shipping returns.

What company did you buy it from in the States, so we know not to use them in future, unless of course they sort it out properly.

ive sent them a nice e-mail, explaining the situation, my details, what its goin to cost etc.

i havent got time for them to wait til i send it back to them, then issue another,

thatl be 2 weeks at least!

wait for a reply tonight, buy one from the UK tomo, so at least the car be back :hyper:

then hope for all my cash back.

company is Speed Solution International, Inc but they trade as Gripforce clutches.

ive been e-mailing them back and fore,

they wanted to know the part number etc, theyv said sorry,

they have also asked does it fitt :smash:

time diffference is quite a bit from us to US so dont get replies til the evenings.

ive bought the correct clutch today tho from here in the UK, its £12.50 more expensive, i can live with that tho.

hoping they will just say sorry, and refund all my money back.

they might let me keep the clutch?? as itl cost them more if they pay for me to return?

its 100% their fault, so if they dont do it easy il have to threaten with official complaints etc.

fingers crossed tho theyl own up

thats my biggest worry with buying from the states, not the import tax, but 'what happens if its wrong or damaged'
