Just heard from a mate here at work that the Import Show at Belling Aquadome is on again this weekend. I went last year and it was a very good day, Lots of modified imports and manufacturers there. Lots for wives and kids to do too. Unfortuantly i cant make it this time round (being No Life Nico as my recent house moving escapades have dictated) But anyone who is going lamp a post in this thread and you can arrange meet ups Etc. Someone might even like to take piccies and post em up here. DaveH , Craig, im looking in your direction :o). Z ya Nico91TT

This is so that a) we can all see what everyone has :) b) makes it easier to offer help c) will make it easy for me when i update the member details and login information You can see what i have done by clicking on the little icon with the face and question mark on near my name. No war and peace efforts, just an indication is all that's needed.

Hello, I just had my Jap import 300zx non-turbo automatic on the road last night, and I was wondering if any of you could tell me what the service intervals should be. It has 60,000 kilometers on the clock. Someone mentioned to me that I should really change the cambelt. Any thoughts? Cheers, John R

Well thanks to Craig there is now a link over there on the left called "Bobs place" As i do bits and pieces on Z`s i will post some pics and tips incase you want to have a go yourselves. I will shortly be putting some pics up of Andy`s TV and SatNav install, Rod`s alarm fit and hopefully a step by stap guide to fitting the AVC-r which i will be doing on Daves car this Sunday. I just bought a 1992 300ZX T-bar 2+2 for my son at a Japanese car auction sale, in mint condition with only 38,000 miles for £5,500.It came with a full SVA and all the mods. Does anyone know the service intervals and if and when a cambelt change is due.

What petrol do Z drivers use ? Does anyone use Super Unleaded or do you all use plain old ordinary unleaded ? Secondly, the tyre pressure chart on my Z import says 2.3 / 2.5 bar for the pressures. Which is for the front and which for the rear ? Thanks

One of the 3 bulbs in my middle brake lamp has blown- I checked Halfords, but they didn't have any replacements. Does anyone know where I can get one, apart from going to the dealer to get ripped off! Dave

Hi, I'm purchasing a bodykit for my Z, but the rear bumper replacement does not have any fog lights in them. My orginal Z bumper does have rear fogs in them. My question is, is it legal not to have any rear foglights ? Will it pass the MOT if you have no rear foglights ? I have heard that it is only a requirement that the rear fogs must be in working order IF you have them on your car. Please help me on this one ! Thanks.

Well fellow Z'ers, Bobs finally finished it. 1 Kick-ass system that looks and sounds GREAT (and didnt break the bank!). Even with the 2 10" subs & 2 amps installed Ive still got space for my spare AND my roof panels. Never seen anyone do this before. Anyone looking at ANYTHING ICE - speak to Bob - he the man. Bob - sincere thanks for all the effort that went into this. Extra HP = 0, Loud music grin factor = 110% /\/\ark

Anyone have any experience adjusting these as my passenger one appears to be going up to far and sticking. It a bit of a challenge to remove the door panel to free it as one trim screw needs to be removed with the window down.

Hi, Nothing to do this weekend, so thought about clearing the tailights on my Z. You know, the horrible orange indicators and maybe the red tailights also. Has anyone done this to their Z ? How easy was it and were there any problems ? Finally, what liquid / solution do I use to actually remove the orange colour ? Thanks for any tips.

They now say its the Head Gasket even though it passes the pressure test. I can tarvel a few miles and it boils up or two weeks and no probs. Today I stopped for petrol and water was coming out from the left hand side. Any ideas...

Hi, I am buying a bodykit for my 300zx, but there is a large space in the new front bumper. I know this is good for keeping the car cool and it looks great. But, I want to get a front mesh, so that stones, etc don't get into the engine ! Anyone know where I can get this or what I can use as a substitute ? thanks.

I have just dropped the stock Kumho's which I had on the car when I got it. (Actually I had 3 sets!) I replaced them with Avon ZZ's. Wow what a difference, I used to think the car suffered fom understeer and a general lack of grip. It wasn't the car it was the tyres. I can actually drive it like a sports car now! As Dave Marley will agree it does grip now! I strongly recommend taking a look. 2 new rears £187.65. Bargain. Supplier name in Bracknell supplied on request! Simon Pass

Watch out if you change those plastic tyre valve caps. I replaced mine about 6 months ago with aluminium caps. They've oxidised inside practically welding themselves to the valves.....now I can't get the bloody things off to check the tyre pressures. Best stick to the plastic ones....looks like a trip to a tyre fitter for new valves. :-(

Hi, i see a few complaints about the Ultimate BB forum software. Although it is the better of the two i installed to test, i admit, there are a few things that aren't quite right with it. However, the reason we changed to this is because the Bravenet forum, which is hosted on Bravenet server, kept stopping, disappearing and taking too long to update (days in some cases). The Ultimate forum software is installed on my own server, which is where the site is installed. I am not reliant on anyone else's services, except for the network service of my employer. And if the server itself dies, then it is my problem, and i can fix it, rather than have to wait fo…

Blimey! there is NO room to put my alarm in the engine bay! Where is a good place to put one? behind the indicator is a good one but getting access to screw it in is a nightmare - is there a good spot? Thanks, Tony.

Nico, Craig, this forum thing is chop! I'm a bit sick of outting in the username and passoword and then losing the lot if something is slightly wrong. Any chance of getting the old one back? I like to waffle on with the minimum of effort!!! Simon Pass

Mmmmnnn Could it be I have been overdoing it recently. As I was pulling up a steep slope I thought the Zed felt a little sluggish up the hill. As the Auto slips anyway how do i tell if the clutch is on its last legs? I seems OK when you are on the move. The trouble is with this sort of thing is you get used to the slow chang. Any definitive test on this anyone? and no Jez I wont be buying a manual just yet, that's what you lot are for!!!! Simon Pass
