Last couple of weeks I've noticed the rear NS tyre on Zebedee going down slowly so after topping up the pressures the last week I decided to run it to the local tyre shop this lunch and have a puncture repair. Off it came into the water bath....no leaks....turned it over and hey presto a 2" tear in the sidewall right down to the internal banding. I've no idea how this happened but the OMG feeling set in when I thought hang on last month I was doing 135mph down the track at TOTB. I really hope this damage occurred after the event or there could have been a serious incident...GULP. Luckily the guy had a good condition ZR rated part worn in stock so that's fitted temporari…

Can you directly transplant the rotors from a TT to an NA ? Both zeds use aluminium callipers but the TT disc seems to be thicker.

Here we go with another twist on the reverse light panel. Again i was asked to do and it's not unlike i have fitted on my car but this is improved and as turned out extremely well, might in time re do mine :cool3:. Looks much better in the flesh, certainly all is red, the camera lens seems to pick up on the light sources much more than the human eye does, mainly on the brighter brake light 300ZX part. Looking forward very much to seeing this fitted. [video=youtube_share;zmbdSoQmLtM]

Guys, Can you have a look at this car and tell me if the quote of 550bhp he's given could be possible. http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/nissan/300zx/nissan-300-zx-turbo-1993/4631604 Also, if I decide to buy this car, what would be the best way of me getting it checked out? Cheers Alex

Hi All, Got a quick question..... I was driving late last night and all seemed well. (Only nipped out for petrol) Anyways, just as I was pulling back onto my street I noticed that the Oil Pressure had dropped to zero! Parked it up on the drive and cut the engine, it had been driving ok whilst I was out? Anyway, let it settle for about half an hour and checked the oil level - all looked ok?? Started it up again and whilst it was idling, it read zero.... revved slightly and the needle did move up but then settled back to zero. As it was late last night I've not checked anything else yet.... I'll take a look tonight however if anyone has any thought…

Link! Maybe I'm just being picky here, but where's the logic in describing a car as having "no mods at all" and then listing the mods in the same sentence?! Remapped, but not dyno'd... do the two not usually go hand in hand (or am I wrong there?)...? Reason for sale: the Mrs. But open to a swap for another performance car. Er... what?? Owns three other Zeds too, apparently. First time I've heard them referred to as "flying kettles" though! Suggests owners should keep all receipts, yet pretty much states that this car has no receipts. Confusing.... Says 20 year old friend has £130 per year insurance on one. I smell something here...! Just…

As per the title really. I've watched some YouTube videos and decided, bodywork is clearly easy. So, with that in mind, I'm going to fix my rust back arches today, myself. Wish me luck but I'm already past the point of no return... Photos to come as always but there's currently a big hole lol

Anyone got a procedure I can use to check these. I did have a burnt loom so something could be blown but I cant find any fuses or relays. Also when I bypass the gearbox loom and connect the cables near the left headlight its still dead. I know its not needed for the MOT but still like to fix it.

Can anyone shed any light on this, I've searched and people say the speedo and the power steering go intermittently but mine is just the speedo, only started doing this a few days ago, it might stop working while I'm driving and come back again randomly?? Thanks in advance

With regards to the lines from the plenum to recirc valves, is there any reason why I cant bring a single hose down and 'T' it to operate both recircs? I can't understand why there's two? I'm referring to the yellow and red lines on this diagram.

I went to York today to have a play up the strip. The weather conditions were 100% perfect for quick times and I managed to knock 2/10th of my PB from TOTB. 14.34sec ET at 93.78mph. 60ft time. 2.08sec Both car and driver were working well. In my little world of NA runs I was very happy with that. Its 9 years since I ran a 60ft time of that order so to be able to still do that in my late sixties shows Ive still got a few years left in me as far as motorsport goes.:innocent:

One of my winter jobs this year is going to be getting a replacement TT rear subframe shotblasted and powdercoated, as well as fitting all new bushings and renewing the consumable Hicas parts. Are the Driftworks polybushes the best option for the subframe itself, or is there a better alternative I should be considering? I don't want to go down the route of solid bushes as my Zed's not going to go on track and I don't want to make the ride too harsh on our superb roads! Also, can the diff itself be split down (for cleaning and painting the casings) and, if so, are there any gaskets or parts I need to be replacing? Cheers!

I spent ages today locating a coolant leak and removing the offending hose. It was a short hose just above the egr valve. I had to remove both of my plenum bypass hoses to get to it. The hose in question is marked in red and it attaches to the pipe I've highlighted. This is what it looks like The question is, does anyone have a clue what it's called, or know a part number? Even looking at diagrams, I'm not exactly sure!
