Just fitted a new engine about 2000 miles ago with bigger turbo's, pistons, intercoolers and injectors and running it in on a 555 chip until i can get my aem ecu mapped up. Everything was running fine until last night when i broke down! The car would turn over but not start until it had cooled down then once warmed up again it would die. i noticed the wiring harness going to the knock sensor was damaged so i repaired it but the car still cuts out once warmed up. Any suggestions would be appreciated

As above, I want to go for the 3 pillar mounted gauges but dont know which ones look good or are good value for money or the just plainly the best ones. I have a top dash mounted boost gauge now but want to go for the clean look all over the interior so want it out of the way. Wanted some suggestions and pics of yours would be good please, Im after boost + ??? + ??? (i dont know which other 2 are the most important) They must have blue lights though as thats what the rest of the clocks and pods will be. Also need to get the pillar mount aswell so again any recomendations or links would be excellent, Ive seen some traders do them but wanted personal f…

ourlass has decided she needs a new fire and fire place, course it has to be the most expensive in the shop (nearly £1800), i will never get my fookin zed finished off nowtwrong with the old one realy, i told her i would fill the holes in the mantle piece, and the carbon monoxide form the knackered fire wil only kill you if you breath it all in

The time has come for the respray. Okay I know that this is posted every so often but which colour do you guys suggest? I am after something sutle, sophisticated and slick. I was thinking of yellow but know it can be abit too in your face as my brother used to have one. I like gunmetal grey, but it really needs to be the dogs b0llox because i've spent alot of time and money doing it up. Which ones are you favourite zeds on the site, pics/ links would be appreciated. cheers peps Gee

i'm getting my car resprayed within the next 4 weeks and garage is saying that they cannot take liability for the front windscreen as its a b1tch to take out... does the windscreen need to be taken out for respray and is it really that likely to break? as i've put all the kit on myself the guy at the garage is charging £800 for labour, but that means i still need to remove all the trim etc before it goes in for the respray and pay extra for the paints. all he's doing is removing the rear windscreen, primer (3 coats of acrylic), paint (colour change)and laquer. Is that about the right price? I am confident in his work though as hes got all new stuff and is insurance certif…

I assume from looking at the CD Manual (maintenence section) that this belt only runs the Aircon pump? Just wondering if thats all it runs as i ideally need to start it to move it onto level ground, (as my drive slopes), so i can get it on the ramps and replace the belt. Any friendly confirmation of my suspicions woold be helpful!

  14. Started by Craig David,

I'm pleased with myself. I managed to take out my headlight (which was filling up with water) and reaplaced it with a good used one. The old one had about 40-50ml water in it when I turned it upside down. I even managed to get the 'tricky' inner rear bolt back in place. This might be because the NA has less pipework than the TT or it might be my effeminate wrists and hands were just the thing for the job! Anyway it's all sorted. Buoyed with sucess I also fitted the white/blue coloured sidelight LED bulbs and fog lights I got from Danny @ DTA. I'm well pleased - the car's looking great with it's new wheels on too. When it stops ****ing do…
