Just wondering, in advance of trying to put the interior back in the car whether or not there's a list of all the bolts and screws and where they go on the zed. Anyone know if this kind of thing exists? I know there's the service manual but I'm not sure if it says what's the bolt or screws are (sizes etc) and where they all go.

  5. Basically as titled. I've got a small PS leak atm, I've pin pointed it back to the pump area. It only leaks properly when the engines on. This leads me to think it's the high pressure line. To make all that stuff visible though the inlet piping has to come off. So as long as disconnect both throttle pipes and the maf the engine should be "ok" to run, right? Obviously I'm not going to drive it just get the engine running to get pressure and circulation on the system and observe what it's up to. Just don't want to cause damage or waste time on something that won't work. It's probably something silly I've missed. It's been dropping PSF since I pulled the engine. All…

right guys, I'm after fitting LED's into my dash clocks, How do I go about testing them without having to plug them into the car?? I have a 12v transformer / charger for charging airsoft batteries etc, would this work and if so what do I need to do?? Thanks

I'm amateur but not a noob, and I'm pretty sure something ain't right. Took my exhaust off to do some other work (1990 Z32 TT), and I couldn't help but notice there are no cats on the underside of the car. But fair enough, I've fixed cars before with cars in the engine bay. But then I saw replacement exhausts etc and they all had the cats on the underside of the 300zx, so I followed my pipework and I know where the lambda sensors are (right behind the engine bay) but as far as I can tell, I can't see cats? My car had its exhaust system replaced in 1998 immediately after the last owner purchased it, and I have receipts every year for parts/MOTs since but none men…

The sills on my zed are actually pretty good. There were one or two small holes which I've treated and patched up and have had a good dig at the rest of them with a screw driver to make sure it's all solid. I was going to drill a couple of holes and attempt to treat the insides so that they don't give me trouble in the future. I've heard the inner sills are multi layer. Can anyone advise how best to go about doing the job?

Normally the Zed is super good at being a weekend only car. But in the past two weeks, it is p"ssing me off. Basically, the battery is draining itself dead in two days. Its just started all of a sudden over Christmas, and now I am having to jump start every two days, just to keep its alarmed. Something has changed, and it may be due to the excessive rain possibly.Once charged it runs ok. My thoughts are a failing alternator or a dead battery (although its less than 2 years old and its a Bosch). Anyone got any thoughts on how to diagnose what may be causing this loss of charge in the battery?

  13. Just wondering if anyone's attempted the above? R33/R34 GTRs use a BMC with a larger piston giving better brake force. I believe it fits with little modification. Has anyone done this or seen it being done?

  14. Ok guys, probably should of started this last year when I decided to resurrect my 1993 JDM 300zx Twin Turbo Auto. I said I call the car "Blue Thunder" (mostly just to annoy everyone:tt2:) as it will be loud and blue:thumbup:. You'll have to bear with me as I'm going to use previous posts off this forum for most of the current bits and I'm not "computer super proficient" with adding images etc I'll start at the very beginning if I can remember back that far:lol: (No pics in this quick update) (This is for the benefit of anyone joining after '09) Bought the car in the summer of 2005, a low mileage (42K) 1993 300zx TT auto, within a few months the timing belt …

Right guys, just wanted to know from someone that's fitted them before..What adhesive did you use?? Superglue, silicone or something else?? I'm worried that the superglue might damage / stain the surround and I don't want that. I want something that can stick them but is easily removed if I change my mind (which happens a lot:biggrin:) Thanks

I think it's time for new wheels, just wanted to check my measurements before I get them. Possibly a bit of an unusual choice for a zed, but lkperformance list 18" 3SDM 0.05s in 114.3 so I might give them a shot, I love their retro look and think they'll look awesome, remind me of Modenas which I like on zeds Offsets are +42 for 8.5" and +40 for 9.5" so I believe the conventional wisdom is I'll want 20mm spacers for the front and 5mm for the rear with those to give me +22 front and +35 rear? Or would I need to roll my arches for that? I'm running on Tein lowering springs which I think are a 35mm drop at the front and 21mm at the back. I'd love to run 9.5" …
